My favorite recipes and a few of my own inventions. Homemade Mac and Cheese. This is one of those recipes I’ve been making since I was a kid and have passed on to my kids as well. We like to serve this easy as everything comes together in one pot. You can keep the noodles very al dente and add more milk to the sauce making it very thin. I didnt have enough of one type of pasta in my pantry so I used the remaining pasta in 3 different boxes. 3 cups uncooked whole wheat pasta. 2 cups fresh broccoli florets. 2 TBSP plus 1 tsp all-purpose flour. 1-1/4 cups chicken broth. 1/2 cup fat- free half- and- half. 4 oz process cheese (Velveeta), cubed. 1 tsp garlic-herb seasoning blend. 2-1/2 cups cubed cooked chicken breast. 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese.
