Is This a Bag I See Before Me? | Knitknigel

A guy who knits. MFKR 2009 →. Is This a Bag I See Before Me? September 2, 2009. Ah, remember my plan to knit a messenger bag using Entrelac? Here’s how it looked in April of this year. Entrelac messenger bag in process. The plan was to finish it, then felt it severely, affix a strap and voila, a beautiful, hand-made, unique messenger bag for me. Here’s the bag finished with a lovely flap knit right in, I-cord bind off. Looking good. The bag open. Note my foot for size comparison. Back to the basement whe...

A guy who knits. Procrastination or…. Inertia! March 16, 2010. I’m working on a knitting project. I started it for the Ravelympics and cast on during the opening ceremonies of the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Games. My goal – to write a pattern that I would submit to Knitty once it was written and I had knit the sample. The idea is good, the yarn I’ve chosen I really like – I get gauge! So why have I sat on occasion paralyzed by it? We don’t have ice cream? I’ll go get some! You get the picture. So today, I am...

A guy who knits. Newer posts →. Victoria Fibre Fest 2008. June 25, 2008. To check out the possible merchandise. I couldn’t resist some lovely Fleece Artist. Yarns which were a steal at $11.00 for 100 grams of lovely coloured Merino 2/6 sock yarn – one in green tones and one in brown/pink tones, which will look lovely on my feet. On Saturday I had some time to spend before I met up with a couple of knitting folks from the GLBT knitting list, so I poked around on Government Street where I saw this shop.

Tuscany PNW: It takes some fiber, yarn, needles, spindles... and a few men
http://tuscanypnw.blogspot.com/2009/09/it-takes-some-fiber-and-men.html
Sunday, September 20, 2009. It takes some fiber, yarn, needles, spindles. and a few men. Well anyway, what got me to finally head to Blogger and type in an entry? Yes my somewhat dormant obsession is back and in a big way. This is not a complaint, at least from my perspective. I'm not quite sure how David feels though ;-). So after a little bit of should I or shouldn't I internally debating (mostly around the cost and the time away from David and Trixie), I contacted wonderMike. And said sign me up.
The Panopticon: A Few Choice Words from Seattle/Tacoma Airport
http://the-panopticon.blogspot.com/2010/03/few-choice-words-from-seattletacoma.html
Monday, March 29, 2010. A Few Choice Words from Seattle/Tacoma Airport. For the parents of the dozens of little children on spring break who keep sneezing and coughing on me. Whatever I catch from those ill-bred little bastards, I hope you catch double. For the man who "forgot about" the hacksaw blade in his carry-on bag. Pray tell, what is the weather like on the planet from which you come? Putting knitting needles in your carry-on is rather pointless when you pack all your yarn in your checked bag.

Walking the Camino de Santiago with socks on the needles. June 12, 2009. The Camino called and I answered. Since the last time I walked the Camino de Santiago I have wanted to walk it again. Alone. Geordie and I walked it together in 2004 and we loved it even though I had major blisters, which I kept walking on thanks to the miracles of modern science and Ibuprofen! I felt the emotion as I began my first steps from St. Jean Pied de Port,. My sock on the Alto del Perdon. Happy as a lark in the morning,.
