Obsessed in Oakland: Obsessed in Seattle
http://obsessedinoakland.blogspot.com/2007/03/obsessed-in-seattle.html
What can I say. I'm obsessed. Some say it's a good quality while others, well, think the obsessed need to be medicated. I tend to agree with the former. So I figured why not add to my obsessions . my very own blog! Tuesday, March 06, 2007. I won't be posting here again after this entry. Thanks for your loyalty and patience. I hope to hear from you on my new blog. Posted by Keith at 9:33 PM. Seattle, Washington, United States. View my complete profile. IKEA - Ravenea Rivularis - Customer Service.

SLUMBERING GIANT: Sketchdump RESSURECTION!
http://slumberinggiant.blogspot.com/2012/11/sketchdump-ressurection.html
Wednesday, November 07, 2012. Now that the Halloween madness has subsided. and Hurricane Sandy has washed the gooky layers of half-dried spray adhesive and crumbling hot glue from my person. I've decided to get back to work. Here are a few sketches from the last few drawing sessions at the SVA Alumni class. The usual assortment of 1, 3, and 15 minute drawings in conté crayon. Mostly just maintenance work. trying to keep the hand supple between paintings. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

The Twenty-Sided Die of Doom. June 8, 2010 at 1:09 am ( Random Thoughts. I won’t embarrass myself by giving you a run down of the typical AD&D adventure rules and game play as it is still uncomfortably fresh in my mind. I will instead describe the company for you…. Chris D. – Longtime friend of Tommy O. and even longer-time older brother to me. Scott G. – Friend-ish, acquaintance-ish individual who navigated the same strange social waters as Tommy O. and my brother. Thomas D. – Myself. 8221; I demanded, ...

SLUMBERING GIANT: March 2012
http://slumberinggiant.blogspot.com/2012_03_01_archive.html
Friday, March 30, 2012. More creative troubles brewing on the horizon. striving to stay positive. I suppose that I can't agonize over things I cannot directly control. just need to roll with it and try to turn it all into a learning experience. Still some good news for a change would certainly be welcome. Some sketches from last weeks session at SVA. great model (and, as it turns out, a talented and prolific street artist to boot). Some various drawings. 3 to 15 minutes. Friday, March 16, 2012.

SLUMBERING GIANT: Sketchdump COLOSSUS!!!
http://slumberinggiant.blogspot.com/2013/10/sketchdump-colossus.html
Thursday, October 17, 2013. Here are two ends of a continuous spectrum, model-wise. one fidgety and unable to maintain still for the duration of her poses, and the other a virtual statue. Both challenged my rendering skills in differing ways. I'm quite grateful for them both. The gamut runs from 1 minute to 15 minute sketches for both models. it is relatively easy to identify which drawing is what time limit. Make a game of it if you're bored;-). SLUMBERING GIANT: July 2012
http://slumberinggiant.blogspot.com/2012_07_01_archive.html
Monday, July 23, 2012. Another workshop at the Art Students League is over. This one was the class I wanted to teach from the beginning. It felt closest to what I once daydreamed I might do while looking out from my bedroom window at the winding curve of Aspen trail in Austin, Texas as a 14 year old boy. It was awkward and clumsy. but it was the best I've felt about myself in many years. I don't think I've ever felt so sated after a class before. so accomplished. This felt very right to me.

SLUMBERING GIANT: Phil
http://slumberinggiant.blogspot.com/2013/12/phil.html
Monday, December 16, 2013. I just found out about Phil's passing this afternoon when I went in to renew my membership at the Chelsea Rec this afternoon. needless to say, I was devastated. I missed out on our last "Night of Champions" because I had a date that evening. and after that, we both got busy and lost touch. That phone call was the last I ever spoke to him. I am so damned sorry that I couldn't follow up, Phil. I hope that you still thought well of me in the end. Keep surveying the scene, Phil.

Saturday, October 20, 2012. What happens between giant foam heads and LED eyes. Some semi-recent sketches from another drawing session at SVA. more maintenance work. Nothing fancy or special. just nuts and bolts to keep the pipes viable. More to come. and hopefully the cartoon for my next painting. Just have to get through Halloween and I'll be working for myself again. Keep it up, old man;-). Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile.
