Boston Foodies

A guide to all things tasty in and around New England. Friday, December 01, 2006. Much needed wine bar for Boston! 26 Charles Street, Boston, MA. At last, at last! A great addition to the restaurants on Charles Street in the same place of Evan Deluty’s former restaurant, Torch and all for the better I say. The food has a distinct and successful focus on simple ingredients brought together and for most dishes this is a good formula. All and all, Bin 26 is great, simple and subtle dishes and wonderful wine...

Boston Foodies: Up to Portsmouth to check out the Dunaway Restaurant

http://bostonfoodies.blogspot.com/2006/10/up-to-portsmouth-to-check-out-dunaway.html

A guide to all things tasty in and around New England. Tuesday, October 31, 2006. Up to Portsmouth to check out the Dunaway Restaurant. I was interested in going because the chef Mary Dumont was named one of the 'best new chefs' in 2006 from Food and Wine magazine this year and has been receiving a lot of high praise. Here's what I got that was DELICIOUS:. My friends also had wonderful things: a 'duo' of grilled ribeye from wolf's neck farm (in Freeport Maine - http:/ www.wolfesneckfarm.org/.

A guide to all things tasty in and around New England. Tuesday, October 31, 2006. Great food, good deals in the city. I know Boston can be an expensive place to eat out and there is no lack of REALLY great places in the city where you can easily spend $60 per person on dinner (Rialto, No. 9, Cragie Street Bistrot just to name a few of my favorites! But there are also a lot of deals to be found. Here are some of my own stand-bys. 10 Saturday/Sunday Buffet at Bukhara in Jamaica Plain. 1740 Washington Stree...

Boston Foodie Blog | For The Food Yuppie!

For The Food Yuppie! The most recent purchase was a cast iron grooved skillet. It’s great for grilling steak or veggies as it doesn’t require any oil once it’s seasoned and cooks evenly without high heat. Most importantly, it adds a hint of iron to my foods. Everything is eatable

Eating, drinking, and cooking in and around Boston. Tuesday, July 14, 2009. Since the last post, the arugula and spinach bolted (we managed to make a tub of arugula pesto and some really good spinach dishes). Lettuce is almost gone, and we got a ton of peas. Fennel is somewhat unsuccessful, as it's growing upwards, instead of making nice fat bulbs. Scallions are also going nuts, and starting to look like onions. The tomatoes are growing like crazy- it looks like a jungle! Saturday, June 6, 2009. We start...
