Saturday, June 28, 2014. Last weekend we went to a family reunion for Joe's Dad's side of the family. Family came from near and far to reminisce, catch up and celebrate. We saw a lot of vaguely familiar faces, Joe more than me. We also had some good laughs at some really old pictures. Grandpa Hugh Werth and Joe. Steve (middle kid), Marcia (youngest) and Debbie (the oldest). After the rain, Henry and Max really enjoyed splashing and playing in what were the basketball courts. Saturday, June 21, 2014.

Saturday, April 26, 2014. Thanks to Craig's List we found a great deal on this basketball hoop. Joe likes the return feature best. We think Jimmy was dreaming about flying. Hahaha, Joe texted this picture to me one night. Love it! Today we went to a Lego Bash at Blackberry Farm. The park doesn't open until end of May so this was a special treat. We have to remember to bring our fold up step stool to these shows for better viewing for Henry. Another closer look, courtesy of Daddy. We rode the train twice.

Life with the Maces. Monday, December 8, 2014. My husband had major nick/spine surgery a little over a month ago to relieve constant pain in his arms from pinched nerves caused by compression and bone spurs on his vertebrae. The kids missed their old Dad who could pick them up and be silly and practice their sports with them. They made the most of watching their favorite shows and playing the video games that they love with their daddy and thankfully didn't see a huge change in their interactions. As Mar...

Life with the Maces. Friday, March 13, 2015. I had to say those three little words again this morning. I know it is good to accept your mistakes and ask for forgiveness when you do something wrong. I try so hard. I try to have patience. I try to not lose it…but somehow its ugly head showed itself again today. The kids have told me that they do not like it when I yell. I promise to work on it and do well for a while and then another day down the road comes and my patience is short and I snap. I ask that H...

Life with the Maces. Tuesday, January 28, 2014. The Biopsy is Normal. Those four words saved the course of my life from taking a really drastic turn. I had two health issues within two weeks this fall that both required that I get a biopsy taken. Cancer scares me to death. When I got the call that "the biopsy is normal," I took a deep breath and rejoiced in that wonderful news. When I got the second "the biopsy is normal" call, I felt such a sense of relief. It caused me to realize just how one call or o...
