Squirrels and other thoughts. Tuesday, June 30, 2015. Salt Lake City Spartan. Where to start.This was the longest, hottest, mot grueling thing I have ever done. Going into this race I wasn't feeling 100% but I thought it would be a mind over matter situation. I believe we are capable of so much more then we allow ourselves to believe. Also, I was forced into sitting for about 10 minutes and eating some shot blocks and drinking some water.It helped to relieve most of the dizziness. My most dreaded obstacle.

Squirrels and other thoughts. Saturday, April 18, 2015. Las Vegas Super Spartan. 9 miles 27 obstacles! I have to hand it to Spartan! You really do know at the finish line. I missed the rope climb, spear throw, tarzan swing and traverse wall. On facebook and the Spartan web site they have a mini series called "why I race". I don't know that my story is social media worthy.but. I race because I can. I race because it makes me feel strong, not just physically but mentally. I race to feel free.

Sunday, May 17, 2015. We went spent Mother's day at Disneyland! Flew out Thursday morning, it was Lucy's first flight! We got our car and headed to the beach! Where I found Lucy totally passed out in her seat. So I took her out and we sat on the beach for maybe 10 minutes before she announced she was starving! Off to In n' Out we went. Saturday, July 4, 2015. Lucy started dance class, Its a 45 min ballet and tap class. It seems to be perfect, they get to focus on each dance and its just short enough that she doesn't lose interest. Monday, June 29, 2015. We Drove down to Utah, last Thursday. We stayed at Nicole and Frank's new house in Layton. After that we got rainbows at Pace's, and barbecued later that night, and played some train game. The next morning we were up early and ready to race! There was some confusion with kids start time. Friday, August 22, 2014. Annual Redfish trip was another success! Lucy had a blast. I was a little concerned about how the outhouses would go. Lucy as usual didn't let me down.
