Streakers | Running ... Because I Can

https://runningbecauseican.wordpress.com/2010/02/16/streakers

Running … Because I Can. 8230; and a few other things, too. February 16, 2010. I wanted to bring attention to a couple of bloggers in the Lynchburg, Va., area who are doing some amazing running — they’re running every day for a year. Project Three Six Five. Heather, who local residents may know from Riverside Runners, has a simple goal — run at least 1 mile every day for 365 straight days this calendar year. If all goes well in April, who knows what kind of streaking I might do …. You just made my day!

Going for 1,000 miles | Running ... Because I Can

Running … Because I Can. 8230; and a few other things, too. Going for 1,000 miles. Going for 1,000 miles. March 24, 2010. Over on Daily Mile. But now that I’m healthy and I’m all jazzed up about running again, it’s time that I have some more hardcore goals. Injuries be damned. As I’ve hinted at before, I am now officially making it a goal to run 1,000 miles for the calendar year. I really wanted to set this goal at the end of 2009, but I needed to see how training for the Shamrock Half. You are commentin...

The streak is alive | Running ... Because I Can

Running … Because I Can. 8230; and a few other things, too. The streak is alive. The streak is alive. April 5, 2010. I’m not sure when I ran four days in a row last, but the April streak has started off well, despite the challenge of traveling over Easter weekend and keeping very busy. My mileage hasn’t been what I had hoped, but that’s not the point right now. I wanted to start off slow and not burn myself out. Which is enough exercise for two days in itself. I capped off the day by playing cornhole.

At the end of next week, I plan to run through two straight days. No, really. I plan to start running before midnight Friday evening and run past midnight on Saturday morning. All for the American Cancer Society. 8212; that changed it all. The LC Central Virginia Alumni Club has a team for next week’s Relay for Life. Go beyond that, just keep giving. Get every...

Conner Hylton: Good report

http://connerhylton.blogspot.com/2009/03/good-report.html

The life and times of the youngest Hylton. Thursday, March 5, 2009. A quick update: Yesterday was Conner's 4-month check-up. He weighed in at 15 lbs. and is 25-1/2 inches long. Dr. G. thinks Conner will keep his blue eyes and once his hair comes in it will be blond. Also, his hernia is correcting itself - Dr. G. said she thinks the opening is getting smaller. Woo-hoo! Conner's next appointment is in two months (May) - he'll be 6 months old! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). 18 pounds 7 ounces, 27 inches.

Eat, Drink, And Be Merry: The start of another tour ...

http://dmbforever41.blogspot.com/2009/05/start-of-another-tour.html

Thursday, May 28, 2009. The start of another tour . And I don't have tickets for any summer shows! I'd love to go to Virginia Beach or the Nissan Pavilion in Northern Virginia or even Hershey (with floor seats), but it's not looking good this year. I'll survive . maybe. :-). Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Eat, Drink, And Be Merry. One fan's experiences of the Dave Matthews Band. The start of another tour . June 25, 2005: Not so sweet in Hershey. Other sites of mine. Conner Hylton: A "warm" winter day

http://connerhylton.blogspot.com/2011/01/warm-winter-day.html

The life and times of the youngest Hylton. Sunday, January 30, 2011. A "warm" winter day. We've been locked into a pretty cold winter for Virginia standards once again, although we've missed the big snowstorms. This weekend, though, the cold air went away with highs in the mid-50s. Perfect for sporting the jean jacket - a 3T that's almost too small - and hitting the park on both days of the weekend. Conner Hylton: Just a Swingin' to 5 months old

http://connerhylton.blogspot.com/2009/04/just-swingin-to-5-months-old.html

The life and times of the youngest Hylton. Saturday, April 4, 2009. Just a Swingin to 5 months old. Last weekend Conner had a fun-filled weekend with Grandma and Grandpa Palm and Uncle Steven. Time has flown so fast that it's hard to believe it's been a week since they were here! For an Easter present, Conner received a swing set and got to test it out. It's tough to tell from his confused look on photos, but he seemed to enjoy it. I'm sure it'll get a lot of use this summer as he grows into it.

Conner Hylton: One month and counting

http://connerhylton.blogspot.com/2008/12/one-month-and-counting.html

The life and times of the youngest Hylton. Wednesday, December 3, 2008. One month and counting. Yes, Conner is. One month old today! It's almost hard to believe how quick it has been and how much he's grown and changed in such a short time. Conner's first Thanksgiving went well, which included his first accident. We're all A-OK, but we got rear-ended on the way to Bedford. Conner slept through it all and big brother Duke didn't even move in his crate. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

My Journey Towards Becoming a Lifelong Runner One Mile at a Time. Sunday, April 25, 2010. Blue Ridge Half-Marathon FINISHER. Yesterday Mathis and I both finished the Blue Ridge Half-Marathon. And it was one of the best days of my life! I'm warning you right now that this is going to be a loooong post because I want to soak up every memory of this race! I definitely want to have this displayed somehow! We had a great dinner, and I didn't feel guilty at all for eating 3 breadsticks! After dinner we drove b...

There are some repeats on there that were posted twice accidentally, but for the most part it's all group shots with the families. If you want to see how he's growing, click here. Growing up, I was indoctrinated with the belief that “girls can do anything.” It was a very Spice Girls era feminism that was focused on making sure I didn’t let my grades drop in order to impress boys (or something? Is that what they were worried about? In other words, be smart! In college, I was incredibly resistant to everything ...
