Wednesday, July 29, 2009. Yellowknife was really nice. I enjoyed my time there. It was a neat experience and lots to see. If it hadn't been for the bugs it would have next to perfect. It took some serious work to get my car to a semblance of clean. Put almost 4000K on my car. That was a lot of driving. After coming back from Yellowknife on Thursday and then Grande Pairie and Back with very little down time I was ready to get home and relax. Started work as soon as I was home. Thursday, July 2, 2009. Well I got more sleep last night. When I got up I am sure I could have slept for a few more hours just wasn't sure whether it was a good idea since by that time I would likely not want to go to bed when it was time. There was finally some sunshine yesterday and I was to tired to enjoy it. So less then a month ago I was in Manitoba, now I got to go to BC and I still have plans to visit the North West Territories this month. Wednesday, July 1, 2009. Whew, I am going on shear willpower right now. Pray that I will be able to sleep when I finally get the chance. I had 36 calls last night. At best 40 minutes between calls so I didn't really get any sleep. I dozed off a few times. Then since today is a holiday the day dispatcher has the day off so I didn't even get the usual down time from 7AM until 2PM so no time to sleep. I am doing ok, only a slight headache so far. Okay, I last left off describing what my Lamotrigine withdrawal symptoms were that I was experiencing. Keep in mind that even after going back on, a person experiences withdrawal for a while until the drug levels are back up in your body. Saturday, August 7, 2010. My daughter turned 16 this week. She didn't want a big fancy party (she's kinda like her Mom), just a few friends. But I asked her what she wanted for her cake. I made her the hippo cake last year (seen here in my New Year's. Post) and she loved it. I ended up going with a topsy-turvy style, 2 tiered cake.
