Back in the 80s a friend of mine was recalling the time when he was returning to the US from his final tour of duty in Vietnam. He had about a 1 week layover in Hawaii and spent the entire time in his room, with a loaded pistol, trying to think of a reason not to blow his brains out. 8216;Why, how could he/she do this’. October 17, 2012. Here’s the recipe…. Cup butter, melted. Cup honey (I used some local honey we got at the farmer’s market). 1 teaspoon baking soda. 2 cups oats (any kind). 2 cups whole wheat flour. Chocolate chips, raisins, dried fruit about -1 cup (I added pecans, walnuts, chia seeds and chocolate chips). Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
