Katie's Lettuce Eat! Veggie gardening in the NW. A sad day in the life of a veggie gardener…. Carrot Harvest →. April 17, 2012. Last year was the first time I grew kale in my garden. We don’t eat a ton of it, but my girls and I enjoy baked kale chips every now and then. My oldest even likes to pick it directly from the plant and eat it raw. I let the four kale plants overwinter. I had read that kale sweetens up after a frost. Well, here it is mid-April and the plants are as tall as me! 2 T canola oil.

I am trying to make 2012 different and am really making an effort to eat better and take care of myself. But having a newly picky 5-year-old makes it hard. I make these wonderful clean dishes and she won’t eat the meat in them, or the mushrooms, or the peppers. And if it has any spice to it, forget it. So, I wanted to find a clean. 10 oz lean ground turkey (93% lean). 1/2 white onion, diced.

My life

Sunday, December 6, 2009. Monday, November 30, 2009. Growing up on a farm is probably one of the reasons he had such a high regard for the life of animals. When speaking of longhorns, Dobie wrote that "The Texas longhorn made more history than any other breed of cattle the civilized world has ever known." (pg. 436). Monday, November 16, 2009. Katie's life

Friday, April 3, 2009. What's new with me? I got a hair cut a couple weeks ago. It's so much better. It was so long it would get caught in my armpits and behind my back everytime I sat down. ANNOYING! Anyway it's been much easier to deal with. We have plans for an easter egg hunt with all the cousins and a birthday party and Crosley's baby dedication, all kinds of fun family time. I'm excited! PS Madeline and Hudson call Crosley, Croseley and I think it's adorable. Thursday, January 22, 2009. He is up to...

My Life in Books

My Life in Books. Because I love reading.and so should you. Sunday, April 17, 2011. I never wrapped up my reading for February and March here, so here goes. In those two months I read 17 books. Of those books, all of them were YA except one. Yeah.I've been really into YA lately! My very favorites of those months were Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins, and The Sky is Everywhere by Jandy Nelson. Great, great books! Here are some quick thoughts and ratings on the books. Delirium by Lauren Oliver.
