Hope Is My Anchor: The Power of an Indestructible Life
http://www.hopeismyanchor.com/2014/07/the-power-of-indestructible-life.html
Invisible Illness, Visible God. Saturday, July 5, 2014. The Power of an Indestructible Life. Here's a free bookmark from me over on Jenn's Blogiversary Bash. From Invisible Illness, Visible God. I was blown away because I realized that since Jesus is in me, then this power of an indestructible life is in me, and I could rest in that power. Something more powerful than my emotions, peace that passes understanding! And since we are in. His mighty power encouraged me in my darkest days, and I pray that you ...

Hope Is My Anchor: God Gives More Than We Can Handle
http://www.hopeismyanchor.com/2013/05/god-gives-more-than-we-can-handle.html
Invisible Illness, Visible God. Monday, May 6, 2013. God Gives More Than We Can Handle. Ever feel like God has given you more than you can handle? You're in good company.and God offers us real hope:. We were under great pressure, far beyond our ability to endure, so that we despaired even of life. Indeed, in our hearts we felt the sentence of death. But this happened that we might not rely on ourselves but on God, who raises the dead. The reality is, there are often things in this life that are so awful,...
Hope Is My Anchor: Who's in the Wheelchair?
http://www.hopeismyanchor.com/2015/02/whos-in-wheelchair.html
Invisible Illness, Visible God. Monday, February 23, 2015. Who's in the Wheelchair? I first saw this video of Team Hoyt and their father-son triathlete in 2008. It left an indelible impression on my mind so strong that when I came across the following paragraph on my computer tonight, I knew immediately the image I had in mind when I wrote- and had to go watch their inspirational story again. Hope for Homeschool: Organization: Priorities and Passions
http://hopeforhomeschool.blogspot.com/2011/12/organization-priorities-and-passions.html
Hope Is My Anchor. Monday, December 26, 2011. Organization: Priorities and Passions. Are you looking to change things up in the new year? I thought I'd do a series of posts on organization since this topic comes up a lot. This week I'll focus on how I come up with each year's routine, because I often re-evaluate during Christmas break! I say "routine" because while I do make up a schedule, I use it loosely, as a guideline. I'm not a strict clock-watcher- I like to follow a general routine instead. My dau...

Where HOPEISM Blooms...
A Devotional walk though my Garden where I find such HOPEISM through the beauty of God's creations. One of the many things that describes my HOPEISM in our "Life with Autism" journey. Strength and courage aren't always measured in medals and victories. They are measured in the struggles they overcome. The strongest people aren't always the people who win, they are the people who don't give up when they lose.". Wednesday, October 29, 2014. Thursday, October 2, 2014. Of hidden blessings and double portions.

Loving your pet too much is putting people with real disabilities at risk. Aug 29, 2017. Data backs my anecdote up. A study conducted at the University of California at Davis found that the number of therapy dogs or emotional support animals registered by animal control facilities in the state increased 1,000 percent. Hope is missing
Thursday, October 18, 2007. After receiving numerous emails suggesting a connection to a film called HEAD TRAUMA. I reached out and contacted the film maker Lance Weiler. Here's what he had to say. The Jacket was purchased in the spring of 2003 for $45 dollars. We purchased two of them from a gentleman selling army surplus over ebay. They are air forced issued and were used in the late 80s and early 90s from what I was told. I know that I keep saying this but I wanted to take a moment to thank all of you...

Invisible Illness, Visible God. Wednesday, August 23, 2017. Eclipse, Wrapped Up with a Bow. Sun with sunspots, August 20th. Dave, bespeckled with eclipse glasses! A quiet little spot on the lake. Dave started setting up the tripod as I unpacked our antigravity chairs (which assisted Dave in lying back and sitting up), and we snapped a quick shot of the vanishing sun. We were really there! Our first glimpse, around noon. The air had that greenish glow-before-a-storm look to it, not the light of twilight.

Hope Is My Middle Name
Hope Is My Middle Name. Wednesday, July 29, 2009. Bend in the River. It has been a year. A year ago I didn't think anything would ever be alright again. The sky would always carry unbearable weight, food would always taste like metal, sleep would never be unbroken. I never thought I would ever look like myself again, feel like myself again, be able to concentrate for six minutes without thinking about sickness. Disease. Dis-ease. Nothing easy. May you never be tall enough. Thursday, May 14, 2009. Not so ...

HOPE is my middle name
HOPE is my middle name. I think I’m ready for the tightrope. These past few weeks have presented me with some serious balancing acts (and those who know me can attest that balance has never been one of my strong suits). Just a few days ago, I walked into the center where I regularly volunteer on the lower east side. Hi, Kate,” chimed Randy. Hi again, Kate, said Carrie. Hi, Kate, piped Ruby. At first I tried to let them continue in that manner and just pay attention to a few lines at a time from each chil...
