Quilting in My Pyjamas: Being A Lady of Leisure
http://fairybreadmusings.blogspot.com/2014/12/being-lady-of-leisure.html
Friday, December 12, 2014. Being A Lady of Leisure. I've been on holidays for 12 days and have spent it doing pretty much whatever I wanted, which so far has involved a fair amount of sweet stuff all. Usually I'm trying to pack 30 hours of stuff into a 24 hour day so being able to move at a snails pace if I choose has been seriously refreshing. This being (temporarily) unemployed thing is working out pretty well. The first thing I did was go on holidays for a week. And drink cocktails with. For brunch an...

Quilting in My Pyjamas: September 2014
http://fairybreadmusings.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html
Monday, September 29, 2014. Spring has really sprung here at Maison Pyjamas. Less than two weeks ago I was lamenting the fact that our cherry tree (which didn't lose its all of its leaves until August - slacker! Was still bare and barren. Today it looks like this which makes me happy because it means long, lazy, warm days will soon be a regular occurrence. I busted out a T-shirt this weekend and it felt sublime. I have to tell you it was one of the best things I've ever eaten. Seriously! So I went with o...

Quilting in My Pyjamas: October 2014
http://fairybreadmusings.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html
Sunday, October 26, 2014. Bloggers Quilt Festival -October 2014. So if it wasn't. For both myself and Fontella doing our bits this quilt would never have come to be a finished thing and I like the idea of having made a collaborative quilt with her , even if it was decades after she finished the top. And then I hung it in a cupboard and there it stayed for 4 or 5 years while I contemplated trying to find cream fabric to match, and the agony of hand sewing 400-500 teeny tiny hexies to finish it off. Oc...

Quilting in My Pyjamas: Living La Vida Loca
http://fairybreadmusings.blogspot.com/2015/04/living-la-vida-loca.html
Tuesday, April 21, 2015. Living La Vida Loca. I spent the first few weeks of my new job travelling to the ends of the earth for training. For someone who has never travelled further than 15 minutes to work, an hour each way in bumper to bumper peak hour traffic was a truly horrendous experience. It was wonderful when I started at my permanent office, cut my daily travel time by about half and started to get in to some sort of routine. So this past weekend, I sucked it up, tied a rope around my waist (so ...

Quilting in My Pyjamas: July 2014
http://fairybreadmusings.blogspot.com/2014_07_01_archive.html
Tuesday, July 22, 2014. Evolution of a Quilt. You may recall, a week ago I did a post about a rainbow of colour that I saw on my sewing room floor and the subsequent idea that popped into my brain. For a new quilt. Seriously people - sometimes you just gotta go with the flow, and so last week that's what I did. How it looked on Sunday when inspiration struck. On Monday I cut all those fabrics into strips. Tuesday - More cutting of plain fabric and I started strip piecing. Stats for the week:. I'm hoping ...

Diann's Domaine: February 2011
http://diannsdomaine.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html
I'm in a world of my own, but at least I know everyone here. Monday, February 14, 2011. Now on to the good stuff. Clearly, lists work for me. I think I must be bordering on being a Virgo. I've always loved a good list and my February Focus list is coming along nicely. I've finished another block for Teddy's Tea Party. And Churn Dash (block 20) for Farmers Wife Sampler. Speaking of cats, I have finally sewn the binding on a cat quilt I started 11 years ago! And the mischievous Miss Holly. I decided, since...

http://diannsdomaine.blogspot.com/2011_01_01_archive.html
I'm in a world of my own, but at least I know everyone here. Monday, January 31, 2011. That would be me! Because yesterday, I. But it is now done till next time. Ingredients for special brew starch. Bill the Builder always freaks out because I use his Grey Goose vodka. He is such a drama queen. He runs around, bellowing "not the Goose! Not the Goose." He is a goose! Finished till next time! No wonder I'm snookered! Bill the Builder was. Redeem himself because he realized that. His life was in danger.

I'm in a world of my own, but at least I know everyone here. Sunday, July 24, 2011. I have a new hobby! I went to pickle and jam school a couple of weeks ago and now have a new obsession! Cause I need a new obsession! I had the best time and we made green pawpaw chutney, mandarin jam, tomato relish and preserved lemons. It's all been eaten except for the preserved lemons which has to sit and think about itself for another fortnight. But I haven't been idle. I've since made. Lemon Butter, and. I haven't b...
