Where does your food come from? | Eat Local Meat
https://eatlocalmeat.wordpress.com/2011/10/17/where-does-your-food-come-from
I promise I’m not weird. Eat what's around you! Where does your food come from? One of the first blogs I came across when I started this adventure into local meat land was meatblogger.org. Professor Chris Raines of Pennsylvania State University’s Meat Science department writes on a variety of topics, but I particularly enjoyed an article he wrote recently about A Recent Farming and Food Perspective. Remineralization… | Eat Local Meat

I promise I’m not weird. Eat what's around you! Most of us would never think of spreading salt on our yard. Some of us may have had our yards salted by hoodlums. As I’ve thought about how we get our meat, it’s been helpful to me to identify the different people who play a role in providing meat for us to eat. I’ve taken a little liberty and put my own title to some of the roles. It is my hope that the titles I have given will be restorative of the honor due to these individuals who keep us fed. What do cows eat? I’m sure you’ve heard the terms grain-fed and grass-fed,...Address n...
Healthy Pasture | Eat Local Meat

I promise I’m not weird. Eat what's around you! Every American homeowner hates weeds. The perfect lawn looks like a golf course fairway, but the truth is, that’s not natural or normal. Across the continents, there are many varieties of plants that grow in many different climates and soils. The same is true of your yard. Embrace the weeds. Okay, maybe not. I recently discovered a young ladies blog. I look forward to her response and I’ll be sure to pass that on to you. Newer Entry →. Get every new post de...
