Finding my way in life: New beginnings are always the Best…
http://katiebthompson.blogspot.com/2008/05/new-beginnings-are-always-best.html
Finding my way in life. Wednesday, May 21, 2008. New beginnings are always the Best…. So here it is. I’ve finally began writing my blog. Although I’ve only recently considered keeping my life to date through the wonderful world of blogging the concept is not new to me. While in Norway my friends attempted to convince me that blogging was the way to go. Despite their efforts I never gave in (well until now that is). Watch 18 classic movies. Read 6 novels of classic children’s literature. You're pretty sti...

Finding my way in life: May 2008
http://katiebthompson.blogspot.com/2008_05_01_archive.html
Finding my way in life. Thursday, May 29, 2008. Though I could recount this experience in a detailed explanation I’ve decided to keep it short and sweet. Tuesday’s events…. I then went to Nampa to visit Becca for the first time since school was let out. I never realize how much I miss friends until I am there visiting with them. I so easily become complacent with the mundane activities I complete throughout the day. Spending even a few short hours with her reminded me how much I appreciate friends. So he...

slow motion fast train: January 2009
http://wheelturning.blogspot.com/2009_01_01_archive.html
Monday, January 19. My 175 year old friend points and says "there's Bobama. Bobama's nose". In a youtube address president-elect Obama recognized the country's concern, worry and tired minds. . One of the statements he made was, (memory quote/unofficial) "Parents are worried that their children will not receive the same kind of opportunity they did" . Thank you Martin Luther King Jr. for progression of necessary things. May we try to follow. Monday, January 12. We got started on this topic by discussing ...

Monday, March 16. I'm still reading tuesdays with Morrie, by Mitch Albom. I came across another great quote from Morrie that I wanted to share. It's about community. As I get towards the end of the book, which is the end of Morrie's life, nearly everything he says regards the need for community. In the beginning of life, when we are infants, we need others to survive, right? And at the end of life, when you get like me, you need others to survive, right? Saturday, March 14. It's interesting when all of a...

slow motion fast train: If I could prevent my sister from 5 things.
http://wheelturning.blogspot.com/2010/01/if-i-could-prevent-my-sister-from-5.html
Saturday, January 9. If I could prevent my sister from 5 things. Here's one. I wish that she would not see procrastination as an option. Sure brainstorming under pressure is exciting. Not leaving enough hours to do the best you could do- horrible. Stressful. Not worth it. My acquaintance with procrastination explains why this is my first break today to eat. I hope I can produce a nice finished cookbook for my grandma by the close of this evening. Because she deserves the best! 03 February, 2010 14:13.

slow motion fast train: Save me some daylight
http://wheelturning.blogspot.com/2010/03/save-me-some-daylight.html
Sunday, March 14. Save me some daylight. I am a little excited about dlst (day light savings time) I figure if I explain abbreviations or acronyms, (so many are like hard word problems these days) ( but I love a good word problem) I will save you time trying to figure out my meaningless thought. So for the next couple of weeks (because no we are not breaking for spring yet) I will feel very early. Parking in darkness. 15 March, 2010 09:30. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). on the road to find out: Babies
http://everybodylookwhatsgoindown.blogspot.com/2008/10/babies.html
On the road to find out. Thursday, October 16, 2008. I hope I'd be a much better parent than my neighbors are though, and I think I would be. I had a big part in successfully training 2 dogs growing up and I imagine that is the closest thing to it, even though it probably isn't close at all. But hey, I was successful in that, and luckily I won't be alone in the task. What a weird word. October 16, 2008 at 1:41 AM. October 20, 2008 at 10:44 AM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).
