Central Church Leaders: LEAVING

http://centralchurchleaders.blogspot.com/2009/07/leaving.html

Thursday, July 23, 2009. After a marrage has taken place there ought to be absolutely no courtship with anyone other than the one I'm married to. That is true if it is literally in marriage and it is also true with other relationships that demand my loyalty to be of any value. Labels: Leave and Hold Fast. Posted by Leon Barnes at 6:55 AM. Starting 2009 on the same page. A new year and new challenges/opportunties! Careful around the bruises! After John Ellas left. Seeking The Way, Sharing The Way.

Central Church Leaders: After John Ellas left...

http://centralchurchleaders.blogspot.com/2008/09/after-john-ellas-left.html

Wednesday, September 17, 2008. After John Ellas left. Edited from an earlier Leadership Monthly. For those who've not read the whole Ellas' report at www.arcentralchurch.org. But would like a very brief summary.). After John Ellas left. We had a lot of information to reflect on. Lots of numbers and information that show our strengths and our areas for improvement; but at the end of it all is a decision for us to make as a leadership. Who do we want to be? 3 We are a middle to upper-middle class congregat...

Central Church Leaders: January 2006

http://centralchurchleaders.blogspot.com/2006_01_01_archive.html

Monday, January 09, 2006. Conserve energy.go nominal! Why put out all that effort? We've got enough going on as it is." What do you think? If we are to give at least 10% (suggested donation) to God, is that just from our money or does that include our time as well? And if it includes our time, do we deduct from that amount the time we spend with our families or in being neighbors and friends, etc? If God really want's 'all of us' what does that mean? Shouldn't we just relax and be nominal?

Central Church Leaders: April 2007

http://centralchurchleaders.blogspot.com/2007_04_01_archive.html

Saturday, April 07, 2007. In case you missed the last meeting. 1 Vision and Process:. There is overlap and continuity between each stage and within and between our different specialized ministries. It is important to remember that each stage builds on and benefits from the other stages, progressively. Central Church honors God by. Irrevocably committing to one another. Intentionally dedicating ourselves to serving others. 2 Life Stage Groups:. Talk about the smaller, unplanned and/or not-including-the-wh...

Central Church Leaders: Careful around the bruises!

http://centralchurchleaders.blogspot.com/2008/11/careful-around-bruises.html

Friday, November 07, 2008. Careful around the bruises! Our son Eli recently had minor surgery and was sent home with a low level pain reliever and instructions for us to be careful around his healing incisions and bruises. Man, did we ever! And times we didn't, we all paid the price. 1 We need to be careful about what we say and how we say it. 2 We need to grow through pain. 3 We need to avoid assuming too much or too little. 4 We need to see the trees in the forest. Okay, that's probably too many mixed ...

Central Church Community: March 2006

http://centralchurchcommunity.blogspot.com/2006_03_01_archive.html

Thursday, March 23, 2006. What does that look like? What are some of the major phases or changes that a person goes through as they grow in their relationships with each other? As you reflect on your own experience and on what you've seen in others, what does it look like to grow in your relationships with people; especially your fellow disciples/church members? Yes, there are academic answers to that, but what have you actually seen personally in the people in your life? Posted by Wade Poe @ 12:48 PM.

Central Church Community: July 2006

http://centralchurchcommunity.blogspot.com/2006_07_01_archive.html

Monday, July 10, 2006. Riding the waves of the seasons of life. Ever noticed the ups and downs, the increases and decreases, of busyness in life? Many times our relationships with each other in family, with friends, and even in our church community ride the waves of seasonal change. It seems almost impossible to predict when the increases will come and when they'll settle down into an almost lull. When is life busiest for you? When do you find it hard to find time to be with other believers?

A place for members and guests of Central Church to share questions, doubts, convictions and other things about God, Jesus, the Bible, church and more. Tuesday, December 13, 2005. Why did God make mosquitoes? And why didn't He make life easier? What's that stuff in Corinthians about baptizing dead people? We all have'm, don't we? Doubts and concerns too. Sometimes 'lite doubts' and sometimes full-bore, serious doubt. This weblog is just for that. Or Shannon Cooper at. The Danger of Building Projects.

A place for members and guests of Central Church to share questions, doubts, convictions and other things about God, Jesus, the Bible, church and more. Thursday, March 23, 2006. What would that look like? What are some of the major phases or changes that a person goes through as they grow in their journey with God? Just like our bodies change or like a caterpillar undergoes change, we as disciples of Jesus go through different stages in our faith. How many actually grow and what did it look like? If you ...

A place for members and guests of Central Church to share questions, doubts, convictions and other things about God, Jesus, the Bible, church and more. Monday, May 29, 2006. A faith that heals and doesn't enable? When you think about ideas and beliefs that you see among us as believers, are there some things that we sometimes believe about God or being a 'church goer' that enables us to live in unhealthy and possibly sinful ways? What are some ideas about faith that we teach (possibly inadvertantly?

Oh no, not you too? I am just all over the place with this some days and am really curious as to what others in my circle or out there in the cybersea think about it. I know that 'among us' in the churches of Christ lives a wide variety of political opinion. So.where do. Which way goes God 'lean'? Do you think God.

Central Church Community: October 2008

http://centralchurchcommunity.blogspot.com/2008_10_01_archive.html

Friday, October 10, 2008. You may have heard the same message I heard on the radio recently, talking about the need for young people to know the difference between love and infatuation so that their future spouse and/or their marriage won't suffer the fate of so many in our country. Love gives and gives and when it runs out, it keeps on giving and doing the right thing by the object of its love. Its patient, not in a hurry to change someone. Its kind, remembering to keep on doing good things....The same ...

Central Church – respond|relate|redefine|remake

Respond relate redefine remake. Christian response to ORLANDO? June 13, 2016. June 13, 2016. I decided to post to my social media outlets this meme. But there had to be more that I could do, there had to be something on the micro level, there had to be a way that I could voice my frustration, I could voice my disapproval, I could voice my empathy, I could share my voice, and not be silent and then my wife showed me a post by Jen Hatmaker. Here is what Jen had to say. Our gay friends and kids and church m...
