I don’t think I mentioned it in the last post but we were a big part of helping our neighbor Bruce throw a huge surprise 50th birthday party for his wife, Kim. Sunday, September 2, 2012. Summer is winding down. I wish I had written more about here and I'll try to be better about it going forward. But, here are a few pictures that show some of the fun things we did. Watched and played A LOT of baseball. And built some more (this one is Maya's). Visited with Ya Ya and grandpa (2x! And spent some time with Big Papa, too! I went back to work in July, which was a big shakeup for all of us, but we had a wonderful babysitter who took great care of G and Maya.

Monday, February 27, 2012. G's Lego obsession hasn't subsided. In fact, it seems to be growing and growing and growing. That's a bunch of Lego dudes. I can't complain about Legos, though. It keeps him busy and his teacher says they help bring out his leadership qualities when, on Fun Friday, he sort of leads the other kids who head to the Lego table. This just makes me giggle. Saturday, November 17, 2012. His Own Baseball Card. Tia Jen and Uncle James surprised Guillermo and Maya with gifts they made from pictures from the wedding. Guillermo opened up a packet of baseball cards only to find a card of himself in the package. He was thrilled. Another pack was filled with cards just of him. Thursday, December 29, 2011. Maya and I went to the see the Nutcracker this year. It was the first time for both of us. She wasn't too sure what to make of it at first, but she gasped and sat up a little straighter when the snow flakes danced on stage. This was modern classical music. Not Bad Blood or Uptown Funk. Something has happened in the past 24 hours with Bea. She is into doing these "dangerous" moves to show her sister what is not safe. Cordelia is too busy putting on a show for the family with the full picnic spread. Cordelia is in the moment and gives it her all.
