Sunday, March 16, 2008. Christmas in Milano by Barbara Kelly. We entered the obscure storefront tucked away in the side of the Vigorelli Velodrome. A few older men, probably veteran racers and faithful customers, were ranting away in Italian. Curious stares met our questioning glances. It was hard to believe this was Masi's. The planning for our trip began in September. All of us were, students at the University of Alaska and had decided to spend the break between semesters on a European bicycle trip.

Saturday, October 12, 2013. Cycling in Northern Wisconsin. Wisconsin is known as the home of the Chequamegon Fat Tire festival. And the North American Birkebeiner. Ski races. We have 100's of miles of great single track mountain bike trails thanks to CAMBA. But it is also the best road cycling this side of Europe. The small country roads have excellent paving thanks to the Dairy Industry. The fall colors and fun festivals like the Stone Lake Cranberry Festiva. Road Cycling doesn't get any better than this.

Sunday, April 12, 2015. 30 Days of Biking - Days 11 and 12. I went on a couple of rides on Saturday, the first one being in the morning to The Park Center. To get some things ready for the Couderay Waters. Wild and Scenic Film Festival matinee. It was a beautiful morning for a ride. After the matinee, Mike and I rode with Iras back to her house, and then turned around to head back home for the evening show of the Film Festival at The Park. Sunday began with watching a live feed of the Paris-Roubaix.

Ended with an early evening ride around a couple of lakes, including Lake Namakagon, as the sun was getting close to setting.
