From pre-op prep to post-op progress. Days 0, 1, 2, 3, and 4: MEGA POST! Like I said before, I was seeeriously unable to focus on anything in the first few days of recovery, let alone operate a computer. Chatting with some friends on AIM looked like a bad case of drunk texting. BUT I’m feeling a drastic improvement in my energy level and appetite today! On any other day before today, I would be passed out in bed right now. Day 0 — Surgery Day! 5:30 AM — Wake up. 7:30 AM — Knocked out with anesthesia.

With all that I’ve gone through, I have more to be thankful for this year than ever before:. 1) My parents’ strength, optimism, and endless patience with me during recovery. And for the sacrifices they had to make in order for me to undergo this surgery. 2) My friends and boyfriend for showing their care and concern from hundreds (or thousands) of miles away.
