Welcome to York Art Society. How to Join YAS. The York Art Society was founded in 1921 by The Dean of York,later the Dean of Westminster, The Very Rev. William Foxley Norris. The Society's aim is to encourage the practice and understanding of the visual arts in York and its neighbourhood. It currently has around 150 members.
