Sunday, October 19, 2008. YMCARunners Manhandle Mount Desert Island Marathon. On October 19, 2008, a small band of YMCARunners traveled to beautiful Bar Harbor, Maine. To take on the Mount Desert Island Marathon. Many runners consider this course to be among the toughest in the U.S., and we can confirm as much. Saturday, December 6, 2008. YMCARunners SMASH PR's at OUC HALF. Christmas came a few weeks early for many of our YMCARunners at the OUC Half Marathon this weekend. Despite a late race start and warmer than expected temperatures, the OUC Half turned out to be one of the most successful events ever for our club.
