Saturday, 29 December 2012. For some great eye-candy and inspiration visit Olavas Blog. Another fab site is Gipsybazar. What am I doing this weekend? We are in the middle of a bad heatwave and its rather difficult to do anything in this weather, however, today I plan to get started on my Life Organiser Journal. I received Jennifer Louden's book - The Life Organiser - for Christmas and its AWESOME! Small steps eventually add up to many small Victories.". Wednesday, 26 December 2012. The Day after Christmas.

Creative Granny: April 2013
http://creativegran.blogspot.com/2013_04_01_archive.html
Monday, 29 April 2013. My friend breeds dogs. One of the girls had eight babies, five girls and three boys, just over a week ago. When these babies are ready to go to new homes, they will need to be identified so that she knows which pup is which. When looking for something else I found some small metal buckles. so decided to crochet some little collars. Here's how they look:. Much better than painting puppies' toenails! Thursday, 25 April 2013. What I've been up to over the last two weeks. Each of the s...

This Christmas Crib came from Bavaria. It belonged to my late in-laws, and is very old (and just a little damaged! This is my other Christmas Crib, It comes from Peru, and was bought from an Oxfam shop. Sushi the rescued Peke, wearing his Christmas ribbon. My dinner table, with the tree in the background. Creative Granny: February 2014
http://creativegran.blogspot.com/2014_02_01_archive.html
Saturday, 1 February 2014. When we bought our house at the end of 2003, one of the bedrooms had the oddest décor. It was painted white, but all over the walls were circles of varying sizes in dark blue. Two of the circles were almost a metre across. This was the only picture we took of this room at the time we viewed the house. So now I have an attractive workroom, with a sewing desk and table, and lots of storage space for all my craft materials. I hung a lot of pictures, as I hate bare walls! Wildfood ...

Creative Granny: June 2013
http://creativegran.blogspot.com/2013_06_01_archive.html
Tuesday, 25 June 2013. Some years ago we planted a West Indian Lime tree, to accompany the lemon tree and the two orange trees that we have. This year, we had a fair crop of limes, and to my amazement, a crop of lemons on the same tree! I can only assume that the lime was grafted into a lemon stock, and the lemon sent out shoots. As the lemon tree has not a single fruit on it this year, these lemons are really welcome. This lime will soon be ready to pick. A couple of the lemons on the "lime" tree. I hav...

Creative Granny: New Lampshade
http://creativegran.blogspot.com/2014/01/new-lampshade_8.html
Wednesday, 8 January 2014. I had this glass lampshade in my hall, and I really dislike it. So I decided to buy a plain shade, and trim it. This is what I bought, for only R40. Being a crochet fanatic, I decided to make a crochet cover. I used Vinnis Bamboo yarn in many colours. What a great way to use up the odd balls! This is the half-way stage. Finished at last, and fitted to the plain shade. You can clearly see the beaded tassels that I put on the triangles that I worked around the bottom of the shade.
