But we can do something to improve the odds in our favor. Please help us. No one is immune to this violence. Red Lights in Pittsburgh. June 15, 2016. My family moved t...

Reader / writer / editor. Women Who Submit – PGH. When things bark at you. June 24, 2015. OMG somebody better take charge of these cows before things get out of hand. Short dispatches from the in between. Monday, July 28, 2014. In software engineering, validation is pervasive, critical, and concrete. In writing, it gets complicated. A couple weeks ago, I was awarded the Gabehart prize in fiction, given out through the Kentucky Women Writers Conference. Does it mean that what I write isn't good if I don't get these things? No, certainly not. But, then again, I'm not spending my writing time penning journal entries meant only for my own eyes. I'm trying to start...And y...

Short dispatches from the in between. Monday, September 15, 2014. I'm not talking about the ones I (all of us, really) have.
