The blog by cartoonist, author and illustrator Colin Shelbourn. Wednesday, 14 May 2014. One such project was with Windermere Reflections. These characters have now appeared in booklets, slide shows and as Scratch animations which the children can animate for themselves. And here's the result after all their hard ...

A project to create a heritage hand tool library in the Lake District. June 17, 2014. February 17, 2015. Part of the Walter’s Tools project plan over the summer is to run a series of five weekend workshops in woodland trades and crafts, run by expert tutors. We lined up a charcoal maker (as Walter used to be), a blacksmith, a tool handle maker, a scyther and haymaker, and a willow basket maker. First up back in June, coppice worker Sam Ansell from the Coppice Co-op. Between, added a layer of kindling and...

Journey To The Green Dream. One family's journey to become greener, debt-free and more self-sufficient whilst enjoying all the Lake District has to offer! Wednesday, 14 May 2014. The kids have just completed a four week 'course' with Windermere Reflections. Interestingly one of the games they played was all about how we look after the environment at home or in our own lives generally and as the only Home Ed group they had run this for, we were the highest scoring group ever!
