Saturday, January 29, 2011. The beginnings of a wedding dress! The idea that I have on paper made its way to fabric today! In my first class I learned so much! Draping, pattern cutting, pinning and so much more. This is going to be so much fun, and my teacher Nora is so nice. First we padded this form so that it was the same size as me then we started draping to make my pattern. Class one of 3 complete! Now I'm off to do my homework! From Sunday to Monday. Saturday, July 9, 2011. Date Night in Downtown Louisville. 8 Hr shifts are quite the treat! Getting home at 4:30, sun still shinning, and time to have dinner with my husband. We decided to head into downtown Louisville. Louisville is an adorable little place packed with good restaurants and lots of little cute shops. We tried a new little place called Lucky Pie. Monday, March 5, 2012. Week 3.A Trip to Volcanoes National Park. D, Nicole (another travel RN I met at Hilo Medical Center) and I decided to take advantage of yesterdays sunshine and head to Volcanoes National Park. We started our day by heading through about a 1/2 mile of lush jungle terrain which would eventually lead to what I can only describe as wasteland. Lush forest with ferns in every stage of their lives. Here D and I are standing near one of the lava vents where a steam like substance is omitted.

I found it on craigslist, a nice guy named Micha was renting it out. It was an adorable little studio for two.
