The Photography of Shane Perez: August 2010
http://shaneperez.blogspot.com/2010_08_01_archive.html
The Photography of Shane Perez. A collection of news, events, and photos related to my photographic works and interest in city infrastructure, abandoned industrial sites, and other rarely seen places. The focus will be on environmental nude portraits in these derelict spaces, but I may occasionally use it as an outlet for work that does not fit within the conceptual framework of my ongoing project. Friday, August 13, 2010. I'll be showing six 20x30 prints of some images Rebecca. August 18, 2010.

Tuesday, August 27, 2013. On my way back home I saw that funny kid that improvises Michael Jackson in subway. He entered the car and did his gig but no one gave him money. He got pissed and started yelling "how can you don't like Michael Jackson? F&ck you, f&ck you! He exited at the bext stop and flipped us all the bird from the platform. It's confirmed: the King of Pop is officially dead. from Kostas, Manhattan Pingates. Labels: king of pop. Thursday, January 19, 2012. Armadillo on Ice in Chinatown. This is one of the greatest "only in New York" pictures I've ever seen. A friend of mine saw a strange creature on ice at a fishmonger in Brooklyn's 8th Avenue Chinatown. How did it get there? Sketchy food for sale in chinatown. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Subway Subculture: 11:49 at night 14th and 7th on a 95 degree day
http://subwaysubculture.blogspot.com/2011/07/1149-at-night-14th-and-7th-on-95-degree_13.html
Wednesday, July 13, 2011. 11:49 at night 14th and 7th on a 95 degree day. I saw this guy come down into the station carrying a small coffee table. He plops right down and uses it as a footstool. It was probably the hottest day of the year so far, it was almost midnight, a empty 3 train pulls into the station and sits there, with closed doors, for a good 7 minutes, while the sign said the next train was 14 minutes away. This guy had the right idea. Gaspar is an awesome photographer, here's his website.

Subway Subculture: Subway Humper
http://subwaysubculture.blogspot.com/2011/08/subway-humper.html
Wednesday, August 10, 2011. So I sit down on the subway. The train is crowded, but I take the one seat next to the guy who's drinking. I'm tired. This gentleman has a neck brace on, has clearly broken his nose a number of times, and is drinking with a straw from a can in a paper bag. He smells like beer, not body odor, just beer. We're two express stops in when he starts groaning gently. Yes A Subway Humper. August 10, 2011 at 5:45 PM. Best to steer clear of guys like that. More scary than funny. From th...
