August 8, 2016. August 8, 2016. Being raised in the Chicago suburbs, I am no stranger to this city. However, it’s been a really long time since I’ve been. While driving back from Sonoma, in a bad mood because 1. our trip plans were trashed because 2. we had flooding in our storage building, I talked to my sister on the phone. Instantly she perked up. 8220;You’re coming home? What about going to see Coldplay? Even worse, terrible clouds were rolling in and the storm projections looked undeniably against u...

Key West, FL. April 14, 2016. Our first trip we booked an evening glass bottom boat tour. We arrived a bit early so we could stop in for Key Lime pie (dipped in chocolate and on a stick to boot). I’m not really a Key Lime pie sort of person, but the chocolate gives it a nice sweetness, and frankly the pie was very good. The employee (owner? Glass Bottom Boat Tour. Heck ya.) We saw the Budweiser Clydesdales, a woman standing on the exterior wing of a plane IN FLIGHT, (YES, she was! The Firebirds, and the ...

January 23, 2016. It snowed. A lot. The most we’ve seen since we relocated South to Tennessee. I got a text from my friend back “home” in Northern Illinois who said she was jealous. I assured her she’d get to play soon enough. But, for the past few days it has been our turn. Dear Husband confessed to me this afternoon, “I miss snow.” You already know I’m a fan. Like my youngest wondered aloud to his older brother, “There is so much you can do with snow! January 18, 2016. I made up a baking soda clay.

August 29, 2016. August 17, 2016. Each day I think we’ve made huge progress but then I see the long list of things we still need to finish. Instead of getting overwhelmed I just think back to a month ago and how little we had done. It puts things in perspective. It helps me digest this process evenly. And we wake up and do it day after day. It’s the baby steps. August 8, 2016. August 8, 2016. 8220;You’re coming home? What about going to see Coldplay? July 7, 2016. For the past couple of years I’ve had the boys shake the camera around at fireworks and see what we got. It’s also nice to know they really enjoy it as much as I do.) Next year I’ll be sure to ask. Russell Cave National Monument, AL. May 11, 2016. Down few winding roads, on a lovely spring day, we stopped to visit Russell Cave National Monument. Lila Creates: What a Mess!
http://lilacreates.blogspot.com/2015/03/what-mess.html
Saturday, March 14, 2015. Another thing I accomplished in February was a complete clearing out of my fabric scraps. This is a photo of a very. Small portion of the scraps that have accumulated over the past couple of years. The pile was about the size of a large dog crate, or a washing machine, or you could also say that it took up, when dumped out of its containers, most of the floor space of my studio. December 4, 2015 at 5:08 AM. That scrap looks hilariously useful in household! Working in the Cloud.
