Glossary and Related Links. Given at the Feb. 22, 2017 public meeting. Vermont's Accelerated Bridge Program. Since starting this program in 2012 to expedite project delivery speed using efficient and innovative methods, the Vermont Agency of Transportation has rebuilt 28 bridges. By reducing the time it takes to construct a new bridge, VTrans has been able to save money spent on design, utility and Right-of-Way impacts and road closures. It also minimizes disruption to travelers and commerce.
