Viewing nature with Eileen: Saturday's Critters # 32

http://viewingnaturewitheileen.blogspot.com/2014/07/saturdays-critters-32.html

Saturday, July 12, 2014. Saturday's Critters # 32. Happy weekend and welcome to Saturday's Critters! Ok, it's time to share your critters. I am an animal lover, I always look forward to seeing everyone's cute critters. The Scarlet Tanager is a breeder in the woods next to our house. It is still always a treat to see them out in the open. Again the Eastern Bluebird and it is keeping company with what I believe is a Eastern Wood Pewee. I could hear the Pewee calling. Thanks to Misty for hosting. The Scarle...

The Chorus of the Crows: The Spooky Sand Hill Cemetery

http://thechorusofthecrows.blogspot.com/2016/10/the-spooky-sand-hill-cemetery.html

Monday, October 24, 2016. The Spooky Sand Hill Cemetery. The Sand Hill Cemetery has the unfortunate reputation of being haunted. In fact, there is no doubt that the location near Caryville, Wisconsin, isolated on a dirt road leading to the edge of a rural bluff, is indeed scary. But, is it haunted? As the narrator of Ancient Aliens. Always proclaims.some say yes. Performing some kind of unnerving ritual. And some say, they've seen children roaming the grounds, attempting to converse with visitors&#46...

Friday, August 14, 2015. JUST A LITTLE TWEAKING. The bushes (Red Twig Dogwoods) on either side of the tree. Are outgrowing their space and have to be continually pruned so they don't cover the window. SOthey are going to a new home. I think they have moved to one of the retention ponds. On the West Side. They are gone now and the two shrubs on the right. Were placed in to their holes. A Crape Myrtle and a Flowering Almond. I pulled the daises out as well. Looks like there is work to be done. At Home on the Meadow. Monday, May 25, 2015. From Garden to Salad Bowl. One of the lettuce blends we planted has been growing profusely. I wanted to have a nice big fresh salad today for Memorial Day, so waited to harvest until this afternoon. There was plenty for a nice tossed salad to accompany our barbecue chicken. I added some of my favorite ingredients; dried cranberries, sliced almonds, red onion and cherry tomatoes. Hubby and I enjoyed the fresh salad very much. Dear son.not as much. It takes you ...

I think it's AWESOME! Monday, March 1, 2010. Yikes, I'm a chaser! Now how did this happen? Am I on my way to becoming a "Twitcher"? What's a chaser you ask? I think it's AWESOME! Sunday, January 1, 2012. FOY First of the Year Birds. Well being a city dweller and living in a condo to boot my usual FOY is an Eurasian-collared Dove, but since the ground crew have seriously trimmed back the tree just off my balcony the doves have moved their residence and they were not out there this morning. Drum Roll if you please. The first bird I really saw this morning was a pair of House Sparrows as I walked out of the store.Bah Humbug! Good to know I have company! Study n...
