Back in the saddle. I’ve also been reminded that. I don’t have to wait for things to be perfect to start. If I wait for perfection, then I will never start, because there is never perfect. Life is messy. We have obligations to work, we want to spend time with family, and all of the other different things pulling us in a million directions. The beauty is in finding a way to fit in what’s important. Reflections on camp ». One thought on “ back in the saddle. March 13, 2015 at 7:54 am. Do not pass go.

I was reading an article from GoDucks.com (you can find it here. This paragraph made an impact on me:. All those guys, you have to step up with confidence, but within yourself, Helfrich said of the quarterbacks. Be a better version of themselves each day. Are there things in your l...

Patiently waiting for Sunday to test where I am right now. When I told my then coach I needed to go in a different direction and it wasn’t working for me, it was like the 500lb weight on my shoulders lifted. But it left me a bit scared and very lost. What now? No, but it meant that I had to adjust my trainin...

Monthly Archives: August 2014. I can’t believe we are at the tail end of August. This year is flying by and I feel like I’m barely holding on! After a disappointing race mentally at Texas, coach had me right back in the mix of training. I think she really knew I needed to not sit and wallow, so I became focused on working towards the next goal: IMAZ. Arizona was always the A focus this year, so it was a great way to learn some lessons and apply them to the next IM. Continue reading →. Do not pass go.

Monthly Archives: April 2014. Before racing 70.3 Texas I was getting a lot of questions along the same lines: Are you losing weight? I would shrug my shoulders, because honestly, I didn’t know. I bought a scale about a year ago for the first time in my life, and honestly, the day I bought it was probably the last time I got on it to look at the numbers. The cat usually lays on it to prop himself up, so I guess it’s a glorified kitty toy. Continue reading →. Texas 70.3 2014. Continue reading →.
