Margo à la Maude: 11 Months Old
http://lesanndeville.blogspot.com/2009/07/11-months-old.html
Margo à la Maude. Today, your 11th month birthday, we spent our last day together, just the two of us. As of Monday, the whole family will be home together for two weeks, and then you'll be starting at Carmen's. Daycare. You. My little baby. I've been saving up things in my head for this post, that I want you to know about you as a baby. When you're really into nursing, you slap my arm with the flat of your hand. Repeatedly. Margo called you Thumper. The other day and she's not far off. You incite in me ...

Margo à la Maude: A Picture's Worth A Thousand Words
http://lesanndeville.blogspot.com/2009/06/pictures-worth-thousand-words.html
Margo à la Maude. A Picture's Worth A Thousand Words. Just as I sat down to write this entry on Margo's drawings, Donna asked if I thought that Margo is artistic. Then again, maybe not. At this point, her ability isn't the point; the point is that I'm seeing this amazing evolution taking place, and Margo's at a point where she can tell stories behind her pictures. Then crayon to paper. That's fun. Jagged, unconnected lines. Then jagged connected lines - zigzags. And another the day after. On father's day...

Margo à la Maude: September 2006
http://lesanndeville.blogspot.com/2006_09_01_archive.html
Margo à la Maude. First Photographic Evidence of a Smile. Saturday, September 30, 2006. Margo has now entered the realm of the smilers, and we have photographic evidence. I submit to you the first photo (but not the first smile! Ah yes - today while changing her diaper, I called Michel. 3 more sleeps until Grandma Monica arrives. Reinforcements are always good. I'm hoping to get the breastpump working during the two weeks she's here, and I may venture away from Margo for more than the time it tak...This ...

Margo à la Maude: May 2007
http://lesanndeville.blogspot.com/2007_05_01_archive.html
Margo à la Maude. Making Mountains Out of Margohills. Wednesday, May 23, 2007. Donna has a pretty good connections to LaDouce. She knows what makes her tick, and can usually snap her out of a foul mood in a minute or two. Unfortunately, I don't have that knack. And from what I'm finding, most parents that I've informally interviewed have their safety activity. Honestly, I feel that she knows when she's done something impressive, because she gets really happy. This time around, I had the good sense to...

Margo à la Maude: December 2006
http://lesanndeville.blogspot.com/2006_12_01_archive.html
Margo à la Maude. Tuesday, December 19, 2006. It's been 100 days since birth. I feel like I've already lived three lifetimes when I look back to the first photos, and remember holding Margo minutes. seconds after she was born. Taking shifts staying awake with her, the trials and tribulations of both mother and child learning how to breastfeed, Margo's first cold. For the record, Margo is a pretty good sleeper, so I can't complain. 3 Months old . . .and a week. Thursday, December 14, 2006. I think this mo...

Margo à la Maude: November 2006
http://lesanndeville.blogspot.com/2006_11_01_archive.html
Margo à la Maude. Feeling more deeply, changing the world. Thursday, November 23, 2006. How would I get through my days knowing that they might not make it back alive? My thoughts turned then to the women and children of Afghanistan. How would it feel to go through your days not feeling safe and secure? I cried. I pegged it on the pregnancy hormones, but as these deep feelings and ability to relate to others has continued, I'm not so sure it was pregnancy alone. So what can I do about it? I strive to bal...

Margo à la Maude: Margo's Letter to Santa, 2009
http://lesanndeville.blogspot.com/2009/12/margos-letter-to-santa-2009.html
Margo à la Maude. Margo's Letter to Santa, 2009. Donna made an advent calendar. Every evening, Donna puts a gift or the promise of an activity in the next day's pocket, and every morning, Margo gets a gift or event to do that day. In future years, this will have to be shared with Maude, but for 2009, Margo will have her advent calendar. The following is the result:. Dear Santa Claus, I love Santa Claus. I want a violin. I love you, Santa Claus. Dear Santa claus, I have a Santa Claus cup. Next year Maude ...

Margo à la Maude: Christmas 2009 - a photo recap
http://lesanndeville.blogspot.com/2010/01/christmas-2009-photo-recap.html
Margo à la Maude. Christmas 2009 - a photo recap. Let's be honest, you all want photos, right? Christmas holidays 2009 has been a bit of a blur, with bad colds hitting every member of the household. Christmas Day was decidedly not fun, but that's not to say all was lost. O. N the eve of the return to our regularly scheduled programs of daycare and work, I give you a peek at our December. There was gingerbread house decorating, cookie decorating, and 24 days of advent calendering. (I made that word up).
