Once Upon A Time MKAL – Clue 3 | Unraveled Designs
https://unraveleddesigns.wordpress.com/2014/10/26/once-upon-a-time-mkal-clue-3
A blog about knitting, sewing and designing patterns. Once Upon A Time MKAL – Clue 3. October 26, 2014. It’s time for the cowl! Shepherd Worsted is a wonderfully soft and fluffy yarn, and it knits up into a lovely drapey and snuggly cowl. Using similar design elements to the fingerless mitts, it will make a lovely matching set, but don’t worry, there are still some surprises! As with the mitts, there is a bobble, so if you plan to use a button be sure and skip it! Happy knitting on clue 3 everyone! You a...

A blog about knitting, sewing and designing patterns. Once Upon A Time MKAL – Clue 1. October 12, 2014. The first clue for the Once Upon A Time is now ready to download! You can get the pattern on Ravelry. And if you would also like to use the special Frozen Upon A Time color way it is available at Jimmy Beans Wool. Given the Frozen theme, I think snowflake buttons would be adorable! The body of the mitt is worked primarily in star stitch, which I chose because it looks like snowflakes! September 28, 2014.

A blog about knitting, sewing and designing patterns. Once Upon A Time MKAL – Clue 2. October 19, 2014. This week, for the OUAT MKAL. You are receiving the remainder of the left mitt, plus the entire right mitt! I figure that you already know what the mitts look like, so there is no need to draw out the rest of the instructions. This will make the remaining 4 clues the cowl! I’m really enjoying how they are working the Frozen plot into the show so far! Be sure and check out my other designs on Ravelry.

Because wool fixes everything. School’s out for summah! Cheers to Another Year! August 6, 2015. Its so hard to believe, but my innaugural year of being an Indie Dyer is coming to a close! It’s been a very exciting year for me, from my first skein, to my first sale, to learning how to do stripes, to creating the infamous No 2. Pencil socks! Some of the most memorable things this past year have been a wee incident where wool caught fire in my dyeing microwave…that smell is unforgettable, haha! Hi Amanda, W...

Because wool fixes everything. My collections of knit themed tea cups and cowls are growing! A whole bunch of dyeing, a whole bunch of not-knitting! January 21, 2015. It feels like I’ve traded in my knitting needles for my dye pots this winter! I’m not churning out much of anything knit wise, but boy am I turning out lots of wool! I’m thinking this is the same conundrum for those of you who spin, right? You spent time spinning beautiful wool, but it takes up your knitting time! January 21, 2015 at 2:26 pm.

Because wool fixes everything. January 2, 2014. Seems I’ve abandoned you this holiday season. Sorry about that! I was caught up trying to survive in the whirlwind of Christmas with three young (and very very excited) children, a fun old fashioned family road trip Christmas to visit my big brother in Montreal (bonjour! Then back home to pack up my baby girl who was flying with my in-laws to Winnipeg! But, I digress…. Winter-peg hit a balmy -47 while girlfriend’s been there, just a bit nippy! Then to top i...

Musings of an addicted knitter living in Southern California. Sunday, August 7, 2011. It is just a few days ago that I was in Portland, having the time of my life. I arrived the day before classes started at 10:30 AM, took the MAX to the Red Lion Convention center, parked my bags and waited for my ride to the luncheon. Debby Accuardi. Is not only a dyer, she and her husband own Gino's Restaurant. Debby's menu this time was all vegetarian. There were wines, too! In Pasadena, CA. Sunday, July 24, 2011.
