Will grapes grow here? The Santa Clara Valley and Santa Cruz Mountains are top viticulture (vine growing) areas. What types of grapes will grow here? All table and wine grapes will grow in the region. Specific areas may not ripen certain grapes, so matching site to vine is very important. How do I decide what to grow? Vine type and rootstock must be matched up to climate and soil to produce good grapes. Market conditions, grower and winemaker preference should also be key factors. Can I do this on my own?

We are very selective in the vineyards we will take on and manage. Our primary goal is to establish vineyard sites that fit in with our long term winemaking goals. We plan on establishing a winery in the Santa Cruz Mountains AVA both making and bottling Estate Wine. Until then we are managing select vineyards in the Santa Cruz Mountains and Santa Clara Valley that offer us the opportunity to raise premium grapes and make excellent wine using rented facilities. Winemaking

We prefer to process and bottle wine as "single vineyard" whenever possible, but may blend as needed or appropriate with other vineyards. We currently offer two alternatives for winemaking. Commercial quantities are processed through Crushpad Custom Crush in San Francisco. They provide complete state-of-the-art winemaking equipment and storage.
