Willmark's Darkside Blog: December 2013
http://thedarksideofwillmark.blogspot.com/2013_12_01_archive.html
Monday, December 23, 2013. What I've been up to. So its late in the year and my ADD has kicked in again (I don't really have it, but it happens from time to time none the less). As you've probably noticed I blog in spurts, which tends to mirror real life. This fall was an exceptionally busy one so I didn't get on here as much as I would have liked. 2e modules- These are a bit of a conundrum. Right now they first three, W1- Tomb of the Lost Lich Lord, W2- Assault on the Hill Giant Raiders and W3- Aeri...

Willmark's Darkside Blog: January 2014
http://thedarksideofwillmark.blogspot.com/2014_01_01_archive.html
Thursday, January 30, 2014. 1st Edition AD&D Part II- My character, Relendor Silkenweb. In my previous installment I chronicled the genesis of THE CAMPAIGN here. Also it was later on in the campaign as I had acquired a few more magic items and lost others. Now looking at the first page a few things are noticeable. First, I wonder why my character has such a low charisma? Trying to tell me something Jeff? Lastly a Fighter/ Rune-caster. For this game the magic users used runes. Each day we would chisel...

Willmark's Darkside Blog: February 2015
http://thedarksideofwillmark.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
Sunday, February 15, 2015. Since its sub zero Fahrenheit here in western NY, (it about -2 with wind chill its -22) I figured this would be a great time for this post given the location of the movie! Continuing my musings on campaign worlds on the blog as of late, here's a thought: How about a game (and it could work in almost any game system) based on the Thing? Obviously, the horror genre games would work, but in a way it could be derivative of zombie genre as I covered here. So as an RPG? Barring that,...

Recent OSR Controversy | TARGA
https://traditionalgaming.wordpress.com/2010/03/21/274
Skip to search - Accesskey = s. By Victor Raymond on March 21, 2010. We would like to take a moment to recognize that a great deal of discussion has been generated over the recent TARGA news post. Specifically about “I Hit It With My Axe”. 8211; Zak’s new project which debuted on The Escapist. It has engendered a lot of debate, which is generally a good thing, and no small amount of hurt feelings, which we regret. Conversely, is censorship an issue here? Subscribe to comments with RSS. Willmark's Darkside Blog: July 2015
http://thedarksideofwillmark.blogspot.com/2015_07_01_archive.html
Sunday, July 26, 2015. The case for the Snake. As those who follow my blog (and know me in real life) sometimes life gets crazy busy. But, I wanted to take a moment off the beaten path and talk about the passing of man whose life was a legend in the NFL and sadly did not live to see his enshrinement in the NFL Hall of fame. I'm talking about one man: The Snake, Kenneth Michael Stabler. But here is the rub: he is also the only QB of the All-Decades team- 1970s, NOT. Had a few good years in Oakland? There ...

Willmark's Darkside Blog: May 2014
http://thedarksideofwillmark.blogspot.com/2014_05_01_archive.html
Monday, May 5, 2014. Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay- Death on the Reik. The long and winding River Reik has many places to adventure, but none so fearsome as Castle Wittgenstein. Just look at the Ian Miller cover, it is all kinds of awesome. Death on the Reik is a great module and I was fortunate enough to play it just as it was reaching America. We started playing the seminal, masterful series the Enemy Within. Right after (or there abouts) after THE CAMPAIGN. Not much came of that. Needed more warrior type...

Willmark's Darkside Blog: Elfquest
http://thedarksideofwillmark.blogspot.com/2015/03/elfquest.html
Monday, March 16, 2015. This one has puzzled me for a while: How come Elfquest. Hasn't been made into a movie? There has been talk and rumors of this for years, yet nothing. There have been various fan trailers (you can find at least one on youtube) made and the elves of Elquest seem to enjoy a good measure of popularity at comic and cosplay conventions but so far zilch on the big screen. Elfquest tells the story of the elves known as the Wolfriders. As I almost always do how does this apply to gaming:.

Willmark's Darkside Blog: December 2014
http://thedarksideofwillmark.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
Sunday, December 28, 2014. Odds and Ends, Grognardiness and General Zaniness. Secondly, I've been a tad bit busy in real life but I figure I'll have a few more posts to round out the year. Anyways, here are some odds and ends. 5 RPG Threads of note. I don't normally like to post about the goings on at various RPGs sites, but since it came up in a thread at Dragonsfoot. Here they are in no particular order. 1 Progressive types getting their man panties in a knot over the political correctness of artwork.

Willmark's Darkside Blog: March 2013
http://thedarksideofwillmark.blogspot.com/2013_03_01_archive.html
Sunday, March 17, 2013. Hey been away for a while (had a fair number of personal issues the last few months) so I though I'd *ahem* "get back in the saddle" regarding blogging. A quick aside I'm starting to work on some more fantasy generated blog posts (maybe even a Warhammer one, but we'll see). Anyways as this post relates to westerns: The movie Silverado. As noted it made the list of my top ten favorite westerns. Did I mention this happens in the first 5 minutes of the movie? One of the great things ...
