Here we are being represented in a University of British Columbia Fair where we had a BOM booth that was hosted by our Young Single Adult Branch in Vancouver and by two of our Missionaries.Elders Byrd and McGahan. Monday, December 26, 2011. We had our Ward Christmas party and these are the 3 Chinese Elders.Wu, Warner (who goes home on January 4th) and Gibson. Below are the Chinese Sisters.Sun (pronounced soon) and Okada. It took the english speaking Elders and Sister 12 weeks at the Missionary Training to learn Mandarian Chinese. Saturday, June 11, 2011. This is in front of the Vancouver Temple with all of the Senior Missionary couples that we serve with. All of the couples except for us and the couple to our left (Elder and Sister Healey) will have completed their missionary service by July 1st. They have all become good friends and we will miss them and their positive impacts on our lives. Saturday, July 23, 2011. It's Monday, the weekly preparation day ("P" day) and many of the missionaries from the lower mainland are here at the church. They hung out for the day, playing volleyball, football, basketball and just socializing. They come inside to get supplies, mail, and the treats we always have out for them. Saturday, May 12, 2012. At the end of April, we went with Jay and Pam to the beautiful Minter Gardens. All of the flowers had not come out yet but below are a few of what we saw. Vancouver with all of its rain is the perfect place for vegetation but it tends to cause people to rust. These are like the flowers we have in front of the church. Wednesday, August 8, 2012. It comes to an end. Our last birthday celebration. Elder Kearl and Elder Holt turned 21 on the same day. Our landlords, Kaldip and Balbear. They were so great. Paul made Elder Boehmer a certificate for being the Supreme Assistant Vehicle Coordinator. He used to kid him all of the time about earning his certificate.
