About this blog | Travelling Palm

https://travellingpalm.wordpress.com/about

An intercultural, international view of the world. This blog will be about making sense of the world through the way I was raised: As a Third Culture Kid (TCK, Adults Third Culture Kids are ATCKs) in a culture different from the one of my parents. To make things even more complex my parents don’t have the same culture and it wasn’t just the one other culture…. Looking forward to meeting you,. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. An intercultural, international view of the world. On missing berries or Bananas, or “the grass is always greener”. June 24, 2014. I have lived in Germany for 12 years now. Still I can not get enough of summer berries once the season starts: Strawberries, Raspberries, Blueberries, Cherries and Blackberries that stain your tongue. I have them for breakfast, in smoothies, in salads or as a snack. Once you have them straight from the garden, you don’t like store-bought kind 🙂. And my favourite: Mangoes!

An intercultural, international view of the world. Okay, but where are you really from? Als Kind mit einer Dritten Kultur aufgewachsen. June 13, 2014. Leave a Reply Cancel reply.

Moving can be a daunting experience at best, but once you’ve sorted through your stuff , organized your kitchen, unpacked the books and toys – you still have the task of fitting into a new neighbourhood. Who were these people living around you? Was he lonely or was he just content in his solitude?

Whipped Shortbread has always been a favourite in my home to make at Christmas time. Every year, I take the basic recipe and add something a little different to it. This year’s choice is cocoa and the result is like drinking a warm cup of hot chocolate on a cold day – all in one decadent cookie! 2 cups room temperature butter. 1 cup sifted icing sugar. 1/3 cup sifted cornstarch. 1/2 cup sifted cocoa powder. 1 tsp vanilla extract. 1/2 tsp. salt. 2 1/2 cups sifted unbleached flour. VISUAL POETRY – AIM

When the Fog Lifts. When the fog lifts. What will be waiting for us on the other side? Shadows of fear or. A promise of peace? Whose dreams are caught in tangled webs of time? Those of the unknown. We cannot know what it feels like to hide in the shadows. To see an enemy creeping closer. To stare into the eyes of a helpless soul –. To walk away in sadness. Echo through the fog,. And time stand still. For just an instant. What will tomorrow bring,. When the fog lifts beyond the trees? A clear, blue sky.

Http:/ www.mississaugalife.ca/2014/05/searching-for-spring-at-cawthra-estate/. In the spring, at the end of the day, you should smell like dirt. Margaret Atwood. As soon as I started walking along the trail, it didn’t take me long to find early signs of spring.
