Rantings of a Middle-Aged College Student

Rantings of a Middle-Aged College Student. Thursday, August 16, 2012. Is it worth it to me, to deal with the homework and the time spent studying? I don't have the answers to these questions yet, but I soon will. I'll let you know. Also, as promised in an earlier post, I have begun two new blogs. One is about family history/genealogy. And the other about Ozarks/Missouri history. And just to top things off, I have a new Facebook page devoted to history and genealogy, located here. Monday, May 21, 2012.

Rantings of a Middle-Aged College Student: May 2012

http://traveling-thru-time.blogspot.com/2012_05_01_archive.html

Rantings of a Middle-Aged College Student. Monday, May 21, 2012. Friday, May 18, 2012. That's when I got excited! Yesterday I was picking out my graduation clothes and I tried on my cap. That's when I started crying. By 2009 I was finally in my degree program- history. I had come a long way, but at this point I was still expecting to fail. Each class I began had me wondering- will this be the class that I fail? Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). The Ozarks, United States. View my complete profile.

Rantings of a Middle-Aged College Student: March 2011

http://traveling-thru-time.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html

Rantings of a Middle-Aged College Student. Thursday, March 3, 2011. How exciting to be nominated for the Stylish Blogger Award! Many thanks to my non-trad friends at Going the Distance. And My Life as a Mature Age Student. The rules are as follows: thank those who nominated you and link to their blog; copy and paste the award to your blog; list seven things about yourself; and list fifteen blogs that you regularly read. Here goes. I skipped kindergarten and went straight to first grade. Not sure why.

Rantings of a Middle-Aged College Student. Tuesday, May 24, 2011. Bore, Boring, Bored. In case it isn't obvious, I'm bored with his blog. I'm bored with the look and the feel of it and I'm bored with my own words. I'm just bored. It's time to shake things up, though I'm not sure how. The history honor society, of which I am now the treasurer. Nothing boring about that; it's almost as exciting as quiting my job! On a totally unrelated topic, please remember the people of Joplin. Rantings of a Middle-Aged College Student: February 2012

http://traveling-thru-time.blogspot.com/2012_02_01_archive.html

Rantings of a Middle-Aged College Student. Monday, February 6, 2012. My days are filled with murder. Murder for money, murder for love, and murder for, well, family issues. I've read two books for class so far this semester, the first one titled Never Seen the Moon. The Trials of Edith Maxwell. The second book is Murder on Rouse Hill. Despite my reservations about the books style, it is nonetheless an interesting and readable account of murder in the Ozarks. A girl can dream, right? Old Girl at Uni.

My Life as a Mature Age Student: Be bold

http://mylifeasamatureagestudent.blogspot.com/2014/01/be-bold.html

My Life as a Mature Age Student. The ramblings of a mother, wife, student. Sunday, January 5, 2014. The Sydney Opera House. With the Christmas/New Year celebrations over, I've begun 2014 the way I do every year - by motivating myself to make some changes. Hopefully, this is the year I can make it happen. Not that I want to make enormous changes - just the usual: to lose weight and get healthy and to make goals towards a fulfilling career with purpose. By motivational speaker, Andrew Griffiths. My Life as a Mature Age Student: Book worm

http://mylifeasamatureagestudent.blogspot.com/2012/12/book-worm.html

My Life as a Mature Age Student. The ramblings of a mother, wife, student. Wednesday, December 5, 2012. With the heat hitting an all time high here in Oz, I've got the excuse of lolling about in the air conditioning, which gives me lots of time to read. No, not the classics I said I would, but books I don't have to analyse, critique or review. It feels so good to be able to read a book for the pure pleasure of it. First up was J K Rowling's adult fiction,. The Casual Vacancy -. Tiny Bit Marvellous -.

My Life as a Mature Age Student. The ramblings of a mother, wife, student. Tuesday, November 27, 2012. I must be boring. Photograph: Paul Popper/Popperfoto/Getty Images. Semester two is officially over - u-huh, oh yeah - (just imagine me doing a happy dance)! At last, now that I'm no longer doing summer semester. I can do all those things I've been fantasising about for the last three months. Let's see.there's that enormous list of books. I kind of said I'd re-read. And now I'm no longer on Facebook.

My Life as a Mature Age Student. The ramblings of a mother, wife, student. Sunday, March 4, 2012. The week that was. Http:/ www.easyvectors.com/. After my near nervous breakdown last week. I have finally come back to my senses. I refuse to quit uni just because I've had a stressful week and I realise there are more important things to be worrying about. I'm so grateful they are all healthy and happy and I know I have their support even though at times it's hard to see! Thursday, March 1, 2012. While wait...

Inspiring People over Forty to Follow Their Dreams. Laquo; Thanksgiving Grad-itude. Ignore the Wave and You’re Toast. December 7, 2009 by Jennifer Gaie Hellum. When my Aunt Kathy read the post I wrote about finding “my tribe” of non-traditional students, she left a comment reminding me that like my mom, she and two other aunts, Carolyn and Judy, got degrees later in life. My husband’s cousin added a comment that his grandma went back to school when she was in her 50s. Posted in Student Success Stories.
