I've always kept track of workouts in some way, sometimes haphazardly or inconsistently but this year is a bit different. For Christmas I asked for this amazing training journal. If you don't have a physical journal to track all this stuff I'd suggest you get one! Or "feeling stuffy" or "quick legs!

So I've been (pathetically and half heartedly) attempting to lose the extra weight that I put on after my hip flexor injury. For the past two years. This year was a waste because I didn't have the time to train like I needed to and I didn't have the extra cash to pay for the races I wanted to do so instead I was a real trooper and did.nothing. :(. Two weeks ago, I woke up and felt overwhelmingly content. Just satisfied. Of course there are things that I would change if I had a magic wand, but in general I just felt so good about where I am in life right now. November Training 11/18/12-11/24/12 and a race report. Happy Turkey Day everyone! Friday I rested so I'd be ready for the race. 11/19/12 - W2 D3 - 3.26 miles at 13:46 - ECP - mixed trail and paved. 11/21/12 - W3 D1 - 2.11 miles at 14:14 - ECP - mixed trail and paved. 11/22/12 - W3 D2 - tempo run - 2.41 miles at 14:31 - NCR - bridle/white pine/bird trails. This weekend was my YTT teaching practicum so all week I kept tweaking my class and teaching it to whoever I could! I got all my runs in and then basically spent the weekend doing yoga! Training 1/21-1/27/13 and an amazing winter run! This week was a bit hit or miss with the running. I got my runs in but none of them were for the coach prescribed time. But I got them in! So I bought a fuel belt at a local run shop that will remain nameless (tortoise and the hare) Used it twice and the eyelet popped off that secures the tension cords to hold your bottles in. Anthow, back to the store I go, figure that this is going to be straightforward, right? What the hell does he mean these things happen. Oh Well, I'm going to email Fuel Belt tommorow with a picture and my tale of woe and see what they can do. Oh man. that stinks!

Friday, February 23, 2007. Swimming with the fishes. No, not in the Sopranos way. : ). I've seen lots of forum posts about the benefits of joining a masters swim group. Now, I'm not going to say it isn't beneficial, but do the benefits hold true for the slow lane? Monday, April 30, 2007. Mother nature wasn't kind to us 10-miler racers on Saturday. I was convinced that it wouldn't rain, but wow, was I wrong. It wasn't too bad during the race, but after, I shivered all the way to the car (and I was running). Well, I actually set a new 10-mile PR by almost a minute. My chip time was 1:31:58 (finished 38 out of 78 in my age group). Last year, I ran it in 1:34:32 and the year before in 1:32:56 (my prior PR). Posted by JenC at 9:40 AM.
