Just an old curmudgeon. 15th June 2015 (15:32). Ive recently watched several series of Greys Anatomy on dvd, and its left me thoughtful. The medical element is extremely interesting, but I very soon got very. Tired of the messy private lives of those young doctors, and I ask myself : Is that really how the producers of the series want the rest of the world to think of the Young American Professional? Surely not, but they obviously think of it as normal!

6th August 2015 forward. 6th August 2015 (15:01). My first live opera, then, was Verdis Rigoletto. I was overwhelmed and enchanted! Now, Im all for the willing suspension of disbelief in principle, but there are physical limits than cannot be denied. PSI do know a bit about it by the way. I started training in Bel Canto when I was young, and was encouraged to turn professional – but I knew my limitations and decided to stick to Academia! 6th August 2015 forward.

9th July 2015 (11:43). Yesterday. While doing some long-overdue tidying and sorting, I came across a DVD of « The Aristocats », which I hadnt seen for years. Delghted, I abandoned my chore and sat down to watch it. Though I freely admit to being a Mad Cat Lady, I found, to my dismay, that a lot of it was quite nauseatingly. Laquo; cute » There were some excellent moments though : for instance one sequence that made me laugh out loud :. Its moments like this that really drive home the passage of the years!
