Korean Hornbeam Wiring | Tom's Bonsai

This isn't Mr. Palls blog, but I sure am an amateur…. On May 4, 2015. I trimmed a few runners and wired my Korean hornbeam a couple of weeks ago. I plan on making a twin trunk style tree. The smaller trunk is already dynamic and built, but last year I took the top off of the taller trunk to to rebuild it. I wired but did not trim the branches on the trunk I am trying to build in order to try and have it gain some girth. As it was this spring. After trimming, then adding just a couple of wires.

This isn't Mr. Palls blog, but I sure am an amateur…. On April 27, 2015. Rocky mountain juniper bonsai. I thought I’d share a few spring pictures of my trees. I’m actually down to only 8 trees if you can believe it. I’m taking the quality over quantity approach. I still have some tropicals but they are still in winter storage. A Bonsai Apprentice Life Times. January 21, 2013. White Pine in an antique Chinese pot. This next juniper was worked on first by my sempai Yusuke. Prior to it being repotted, the tree was tilting more to the left. So Yusuke basically did an about job, then the tree was repotted. Afterwards Oyakata gave it to the top apprentice, Matt, to get it perfect. I believe he spent an afternoon wiring some of the fine branching and checking the balance. It turned out really well!
