Thursday, November 27, 2014. It was a gray and windy day. Next I laced on the skates and started sliding about. The ice was decent but not all that smooth with a few snowy patches. The wind and the fact that I am not a particularly good skater and I think my skates are dull did not help. You could just sail downwind without doing anything - but upwind travel was a little more work. My feet look really small here. This is a video I took when I was leaving. Also note the snow blowing just right of the trees.

Monday, September 30, 2013. I went to Davis to join Hanie for the Balance Community Longline Festival. This got switched to Sacramento for longlines Saturday because of some permitting issues, and then on to the Cosumnes River Gorge. On Sunday for some highlines. I got to Davis Friday evening and Hanie and Peter and I walked to campus to set up an e-line and play on it a bit. I felt pretty good on this line since it is what I am used to. Not so for the rest of the weekend. Jerry cruising the 663 footer.

Tuesday, May 27, 2014. Last gasp skiing trip teaser. They say there is no snow in the Sierra this year, Laura has been posting pics almost every weekend proving that wrong. For the most part it is above 10,000 feet, which means some effort is required to get to it. Grey Butte reflected in the small melted part of Summit Lake. Wednesday, July 23, 2014. Columns of the Giants with friends. On the way to Wanderlust I stopped off at the Columns of the Giants for some sport climbing with friends. There was a heavy rain before I got to Sonora Pass and the road was actually closed for a while to clear debris. The streams were still running hard and brown when I went over. Monday, November 10, 2014. There were some 60 or more people getting a variety of projects done at the Buttermilks including dispersing (mostly into holes in the road) a large pile of soil produced when the toilet was installed. Hopefully that will help keep things a little nicer in the area. Then I did some bouldering mostly on the green wall - it was a little warm and felt harder than last time I tried it. Oh well.
