tosh: text-based Scratch
Tosh is a text-based editor for Scratch. Use it to get started with text-based coding,. Or just to make Scratch projects faster. Tosh is free for anyone to use online. It runs in your browser, so you don’t need to download anything. Get the Mac app. The Mac version works offline, supports autosave, and can load bigger project files. If you have a Mac, consider buying the app to help support development! The source code will soon be available on GitHub.

Here’s a weird thought. How is the brain structured? Alex’s Adventures in Numberland. He describes tests done on monkeys that showed that there was a specific group of neurons in their brains which lit up when they saw each number of objects. And surrounding numbers would light up a bit, too: for example, if they saw five shapes, the area representing five would light up strongly, and four and six would light up a bit, and so on. How do you represent addition of two numbers, or more complex operations?
