http://farmerswifeandmummy.com/black-forest-chocolate-cake-recipe-2
Black Forest Chocolate Cake-Recipe. August 6, 2015. So it’s back. The Great British Bake Off. Has begun and, in Episode One, the contestants made a madeira cake, a frosted walnut cake and a Black Forest gateau. I therefore decided to play along myself again this year and, my first offering is a Black Forest Gateau Cake. 8 oz self raising flour. Soak the cherries in the Chambord over night. Make a chocolate Victoria sponge (I used the all on one method). While the cake cools, whip 300mls of the cream.

This Mid 30s Life. It's often silly, sometimes fun and occasionally a bit boring if I'm honest. I turned down her offer of showing me how to feel for our guinea pig’s testicles. Do I want to fossick around a guinea pig’s bits searching for their gonads? I think I might say no. I swear I bought her for the kids. And yes, I know it’s a rodent. But I was smitten. And I decided that Rosie needed a friend. So I bought Josephina. 8220;There’s another one! Our pets had, as my daughter put it, “hatchedR...

Welcome to my blogful of cake! Lemon and white chocolate biscuits. Lemon and white chocolate biscuits. August 13, 2014. By Ellie's cakes. The return of the Great British Bake Off last Wednesday made me so happy – Bake Off seems to unite the country in a way little else does. My favourite baker so far is definitely Norman – who could forget his hand made skateboard swiss roll plate, or his assertion that his swiss roll was ‘for men’! Lemon and white chocolate biscuits. 100g white chocolate, melted. When c...

Clumsily raising my boys and baking cakes. GBBO – My Recipes. Great Bloggers Bake Off. Oreo Ice Cream Bombe. I love Oreo cookies and I only actually discovered them about 2 years ago when I made my Oreo cupcakes. I love how they keep their shape while inside a cake. I have also used them inside a baked alaska. And a brioche and butter pudding. I have made marshmallows. With them and also petit fours. Oreo have just brought out two new variants in their range of cookies, new Peanut Butter and Golden.

The 40ish Year Old Domestic Goddess Blog Page: Puzzled......
http://40yearolddomesticgoddess.blogspot.com/2015/01/puzzled.html
Wednesday, 21 January 2015. I am officially a Puzzler. Not in a "wondering what the hell is going on" kind of way but a master of placing little cardboard pieces in amongst a jumble of colours and sizes kind of way. We received a jigsaw over the Xmas period to which I am ashamed to say I laughed at and thought "how old do you think I am? After an hour I was ready to chuck it through the patio doors and forget I ever had it but then something happened.Something I didn't expect. The Teenagers appeare...Then,...

Beautiful Things: Gumigem - Review
http://www.allthebeautifulthings.co.uk/2015/08/gumigem-review.html
Tuesday, 11 August 2015. I had heard about Gumigem. I was kindly sent a couple of items to review from Gumigem, I chose the cat pendant mew-chew (RRP £12.95). And the bubba bangle pixie (RRP £8.95). Both in pink, of course! To be honest it was a tough choice with what to choose so I based my decisions on 1. I love cats and 2. I love the colour pink! I also wanted something that I could wear that wasn't too over the top as I as worried that Alfie would get a little over excited and he'd want to wear them!

The Sassy Southerner: Sunset at Eibsee
http://thesassysouthernerblog.blogspot.com/2014/07/sunset-at-eibsee.html
My favorite thing to do is ride my bike all the way around and after I'm all hot and sweaty, I take a dip in the cold water to cool down. Then I lay out in the sun to dry off and get my tan on! There's a little island in the middle of the lake and you can rent a paddle boat or a canoe - which I have yet to do, but definitely plan on doing sometime soon. There's also a cafe and even a hotel. Eibsee is absolutely stunning when the sun is setting. I'd love to go in the morning and see it at sunrise. Did you...
