This Old Life: June 2011
http://nabbysvintagelife.blogspot.com/2011_06_01_archive.html
Wednesday, June 29, 2011. Knits, Part One. I'm always so jealous when I see those lovely 1930s knits that I have, so far, not been able to get my hands on. Baroness Von Vintage seems to have an unending collection of beautiful vintage knits, including this one. Which makes me especially covetous. I'm also ridiculously envious of those who know how to knit and can make themselves reproduction garments from vintage patterns. Here. I took it in by about 6 inches around. I also shortened it by cutting of...

Pearls and Purls: March 2016
http://pearlsandpurlsvintage.blogspot.com/2016_03_01_archive.html
Welcome to Pearls and Purls! A place to read all about vintage goodness. Wednesday, 23 March 2016. Way back last year I blogged about. With a Tyrolean design, which I have finally finished at last. I'm so glad to have this cardigan completed! Although the pattern looks complicated, it was fairly easy to knit as it is repeated all over so I soon got used to it. Although this cardigan took a long time for me to knit, I'm very pleased with the final result and I'm sure I'll get a lot of wear out of it.

Welcome to Pearls and Purls! A place to read all about vintage goodness. Saturday, 29 October 2016. Apples and Pears.up the stairs. I've had my eye on the Cath Kidston Apples and Pears print for awhile now so when this skirt was reduced in the sale I snapped it up and what better place to photograph it than in the beautiful city of Chester where I study. I love living in Chester so much, it's such a pretty place and there are so many hidden gems. Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Sorry for the blog silence recently, my laptop broke and therefore I have lost all my photos and files. This meant I could not update Pearls and Purls. I have also been to a few 1940s re-enactment events recently so will be sharing photos from those too soon. Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). my secret robot army: Swag!!
http://mysecretrobotarmy.blogspot.com/2015/06/swag.html
My secret robot army. Wednesday, June 17, 2015. And the good things just keep coming. L'uccello had a sale! I had a voucher! Vintage buttons, appliqué, French soaps and Potuguese bath salts. Plus some super cheap fabric for a blouse. I had some sewing that was all done save for the buttons so I was able to finish those off on the weekend. No more vouchers. So sad. I absolutely love the buttons and the material. What fun it is to pick to your hearts content. July 13, 2015 at 9:18 AM. I am a winner!

My secret robot army. Sunday, April 28, 2013. Me and a mountain bike. I am an absolute hero! I just got home from a mountain bike day in the Dandenongs with the Cogsgirls. Here's the latest. Made to a forties pattern I didn't know I had but with a ration book busting 4 inches added to the bottom! The fit's not pe...

Thursday, 5 February 2015. Here is "Purple Candy" as I named this pretty outfit for Bunny Rogers. From New York City in USA. Bunny is a wonderful artist that one day I will have the pleasure of seeing her art alive. She is kind, with a huge heart, a visionary, unique and such a special being. I treasured her as my best friend! Aqui está o "Purple Candy", como chamei ao bonito conjunto para a. The sweater is fitted and has high waist in vintage manner with set in sleeves. Here are some sketches that I mad...

Miss Beta: Jumper with crocheted sleeves from 1940s pattern, late March projects
http://miss-beta.blogspot.com/2015/04/jumper-with-crocheted-sleeves-from.html
Thursday, 16 April 2015. Jumper with crocheted sleeves from 1940s pattern, late March projects. Hello my dear friends! I have this post so late, please forgive me for that. In March I've finished this gorgeous jumper from 1940s knitting pattern. I love the sleeves because they are crocheted and also love the detail of having a bow collar. It is supposed to wear with shoulder pads for a more square look fit. I made this for the lovely lady from Norway, my sweet dear Rakel Teresa Donato. My wonderful frien...
