From city life in a Detroit suburb, to country life in the woods of Texas. Painted and epoxied countertops. July 8, 2014. By Yankees in the Woods. So, when we moved into our home, we had white formica countertops, with a shiny, hunter green edge. While some people may have really liked this look, it really was not my cup of tea. After much researching online, I ran across this site: http:/ www.remodelaholic.com/2011/08/painted-formica-countertop/. The cost was even MORE amazing to me! We added subway til...

Sunday, February 24, 2013. DIY Sharpie Love Pillows. Today I wrote on my pillows with a sharpie! It was a spur of the moment decision and I just went for it. Took me all of maybe 60 seconds? I was quite proud of the hubby, because he noticed as soon as he came in from shoveling.and even better, he didn't realize it was me who did it! He asked, "When do you get that love pillow? Well, dear, it was the same boring cheap pillows we got some Target and I decided to draw on them! Don't you just love them?

Breezy Pink Daisies: DIY Camera Bag - no sewing!
http://breezypinkdaisies.blogspot.com/2012/06/diy-camera-bag-no-sewing.html
Friday, June 1, 2012. DIY Camera Bag - no sewing! I have been wanting a camera bag/purse for about a year now, so I finally made my own DIY camera bag purse! I bought foam and fabric a year ago but didn't get any farther on the project. Finally, I decided to buy one last week, but when I went to check out, shipping bumped the price just over $100. While I was ready to pay $89, $102 just seemed a little steep! So, I finally decided - why not, let's see what I can do! That's right, I used hot glue. Soft si...

http://breezypinkdaisies.blogspot.com/2013/08/diy-coasters-wine-and-stuff-cute-bridal.html
Monday, August 5, 2013. DIY coasters wine and stuff = cute bridal shower gift. I found this cute bottle opener / wine cork set at a garage sale. And knew there was a themed present to be made! Add a nice bottle of wine (I chose a pink moscato from Trader Joes) and some homemade coasters and it all makes a great combination. I thought about doing a tutorial for these coasters, but I think it's just about the most well known tutorial on the internet. Now it's wedding time come this weekend :). I love how y...

Breezy Pink Daisies: My Chevron and Birdie Initial H
http://breezypinkdaisies.blogspot.com/2013/07/my-chevron-and-birdie-initial-h.html
Monday, July 15, 2013. My Chevron and Birdie Initial H. Michael's has been having AMAZING clearance and sales lately - so I got my craft on and made this beautiful chevron H :). I picked up this letter H for $1.99 and these little birds for about $.19 or $.29 each - I don't exactly remember. I also grabbed some for a friend. Trace the chevron stencil onto the letter. I used pencil. Just don't look closely! Paint the little birdies. Well, that was a fun and easy project! I love adding new items to my shelf.

Friday, February 27, 2015. One – AZ Blogger Meetup. Last Saturday I went to an Arizona Blogger Meetup event and I had such a great time! I got to hang out with Carrie from 3595. Again plus I met some other fun lady bloggers. We did a gift swap and Nadia from Nadia Thinks. Bought me a perfect gift! She even included treats for Ringo and Abby, so they were pretty happy too! I had such a good time at the event and I can’t wait for the next one! Especially if waffles and/or chocolate are involved again!

Away She Went: Gone Palm
http://awayshewentblog.blogspot.com/2015/08/gone-palm.html
Tuesday, August 11, 2015. It’s hotter than Hades in Phoenix right now, so outdoor projects are on hold until fall…unless I can pay someone to do them for me. This is one of those projects. You can’t even tell there was ever a palm tree there! They did such a great job! The yard looks so much more open and bigger now. It was definitely worth the money. I’m curious what the HOA is going to say, but technically I did remove the dead fronds as requested…. Sam Away She Went. 21 Christmas Tree Stand Ideas.
