Monday, June 07, 2010. Valley of the Gods. After we left the Blanding area, we drove to Bluff, Utah where we had a little lunch and then continued on towards Valley of the Gods. The road thru the Valley of the Gods is a 17 mile road gravel road that twists and winds around some beautiful red rock formations. Saturday, June 12, 2010. Saturday morning after we left our B and B near Mancos, CO., we drove to Moab Utah. We've driven through Moab many times but never taken the time to drive into Arches National Park. Since this was our hiking and exploration vacation, we were determined to do at least one hike in Arches. The blue sky, red rocks, and petrified dunes made such a pretty contrast. Sunday, September 12, 2010. Summer Trip to Boise. Me and the boys had such a fun trip to Boise in July. Jason wasn't able to go, so I decided to head out with just me and the kids. It was the longest drive ever! We did so many fun things while we were there. My favorite was the Twilight Critirium bike race that we went to downtown. So much fun. Thanks KK and Beau for having us. Monday, September 14, 2009. Eastern Idaho State Fair. It's probably been about 20 years since I entered anything at the Fair . . . it was sometime in the late '80 when I was showing horses with my Dad. Tuesday, June 30, 2009. I had the opportunity in June to attend the Alumni weekend Alpine Academy with Janet and Lani. It was so good to spend that time with my girls and to see in more detail the work they are involved in. Sunday, September 12, 2010. For my 31st birthday we went out to Porcupine Grill for dinner then over to Maggie Magees for karaoke. It was a ball. We hadn't had that kind of night for a long time. Monday, June 07, 2010. In order to go into the Canyon, you have to hire a Navajo guide, so that's what we did. We hired a man named Tim Haulwood to be our guide for 3 hours to learn about the Canyon and it's people. The ride into the Canyon was wet and wild. We were riding in an open Jeep and we crossed through the river many times as we drove further into the Canyon. The cliffs are massive, soaring 700 feet above the river. It's an impressive place.
