The Phinney Family Grows: February 2014
http://phinneyfamilygrows.blogspot.com/2014_02_01_archive.html
The Phinney Family Grows. Thursday, February 27, 2014. The hangover that won't go away. I also feel like God has a great plan in store for this life and for our family - so I'm putting my faith in this. I know this baby is God's plan since we weren't trying to conceive! Friday, February 21, 2014. Battling the crushing weight of worry. I've been hesitant to even write about this.fear of jinxing myself starts to creep into my head. But then as a Christian I know that I shouldn't believe in the conc...We ha...

Steph's Big Tent: I am THAT blogger
http://stephsbigtent.blogspot.com/2013/12/i-am-that-blogger.html
My life is a circus and I am the ringmaster! Thursday, December 5, 2013. I am THAT blogger. There is nothing that I hate more (okay, I'm totally exaggerating) than when I go to check one of my favorite blogs and it hasn't been updated in awhile. Welp, I'm guilty as charged. I apologize. Score I came home and ordered the rest of my shopping list on Amazon. Okaynothing really exciting, but now you're caught up. I promise I'll be better now. PS Is anyone watching "The Sound of Music" with Carrie Underwood?

Steph's Big Tent: Christmas Shopping
http://stephsbigtent.blogspot.com/2013/11/christmas-shopping.html
My life is a circus and I am the ringmaster! Thursday, November 21, 2013. I LOVE Christmas Shopping. Honestly, I love giving gifts, period. I put a lot of thought into what I buy. This year I'm having an awful time figuring out what to buy for Baby C. Everything she needs- we have. Every toy she'll use in the next year- we have. And I HATE the idea of bringing more toys into this house. She doesn't need clothes because she's the same size in the same seasons as L. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Steph's Big Tent: Weekend in Review
http://stephsbigtent.blogspot.com/2013/11/weekend-in-review_25.html
My life is a circus and I am the ringmaster! Monday, November 25, 2013. So this was the first weekend it really felt like winter- and it sucked. Saturday we got up and went to the Please Touch Museum. Have you been there? It's freaking awesome. It's all kinds of little play rooms and the kids just play and pretend. L had a great time and Baby C was actually very cooperative. Eating dinner on Sunday- annoying. A birthday party- normal. While I'm cleaning L's face- annoying. View my complete profile.

Steph's Big Tent: Prostitution
http://stephsbigtent.blogspot.com/2013/12/prostitution.html
My life is a circus and I am the ringmaster! Saturday, December 14, 2013. So let me start with, I've been up since 5:20 on my day to sleep in. Why? Well, who wouldn't want to catch 'Late Night Gifts' on QVC. No, but really. And so we left. By this point it was 7:00 and we hadn't eaten yet. So obviously he had the great idea of not eating right there in the food court, but going to a diner by our house. So, 7:30 we sat down to eat dinner. (with a 2 year old who had lunch at 11:30). The Phinney Family Grows: September 2013
http://phinneyfamilygrows.blogspot.com/2013_09_01_archive.html
The Phinney Family Grows. Friday, September 6, 2013. With it being back to school time, I've seen a few pieces in the news about the "kindergarten redshirt" phenomenon (holding back a child with a summer birthday so that they start kindergarten when they are 6). M2 is very tall. She's always been just under the 100th percentile for height and people often think she is older than she is due to her height. If we hold her back not only will she be the tallest because of her genetics, but also becaus...Ultim...

The Phinney Family Grows: October 2014
http://phinneyfamilygrows.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html
The Phinney Family Grows. Thursday, October 30, 2014. I need to get her birth story written down before the details become fuzzy. I was scheduled to be induced on my due date - October 17th (a Friday). The Monday before I went in for my last checkup and my OB said, "You have so much fluid in there, the baby is floating up high. I don't expect you to deliver before Friday - see you then! I am very glad my actual water did not break at home - that would've been a mess! Monday, October 13, 2014. Shortly aft...

The Phinney Family Grows: May 2014
http://phinneyfamilygrows.blogspot.com/2014_05_01_archive.html
The Phinney Family Grows. Tuesday, May 13, 2014. Yesterday was a very expensive day in our household. First, M2 had lost her Northface jacket last week at preschool. Yesterday I scoured her classroom, the lost and found and other nooks and crannies of the building, but it was nowhere to be found. Not surprising, I'm sure it "walked away" as fancy things like Northface jackets can do. Our fridge was at 59 degrees. Ugh! At the grocery store, someone hit my car and drove away while we were shopping. It ...

The Phinney Family Grows: January 2014
http://phinneyfamilygrows.blogspot.com/2014_01_01_archive.html
The Phinney Family Grows. Wednesday, January 8, 2014. The hurt of one is the hurt of all. An old friend of mine is a gifted speaker and violinist. When he gives a performance he weaves together stories of his life with beautiful pieces of original music. He often talks about the idea that "the hurt of one is the hurt of all." How intertwined our community is and how it's hard for there not to be a ripple effect felt in the wake of tragedy. All I can do is pray for these families, and pray for those that ...
