Bits and Pieces of Shiny Things: December 2011
http://oddendsandbits.blogspot.com/2011_12_01_archive.html
Saturday, December 24, 2011. Every year when I visit my parents during Thanksgiving, we see the fields around Skagit Valley fill with big white geese. And every year we say we should go see the snow geese. This year, Aaron and I finally went and tracked them down! I also got to try out my new rain boots! They are jolly good and I was able to play in the water. Happy. There is something interesting in the water! Location: Game Farm Rd, Mt Vernon, WA 98273, USA. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Bits and Pieces of Shiny Things: May 2010
http://oddendsandbits.blogspot.com/2010_05_01_archive.html
Monday, May 24, 2010. I thought I was going away from Pullman? If all had gone well, I would be sitting in a plane to Houston right now. Instead, I've unexpectedly been given some extra time that I obviously do not know what to do with and will most likely go on wasting it all. I finished the tedious job of packing this morning and was all prepared to leave for this conference thingy (some call it DAMOP. C) try the same itinerary we had for today tomorrow. That's all for now. I'm going to find some o...

Bits and Pieces of Shiny Things: October 2009
http://oddendsandbits.blogspot.com/2009_10_01_archive.html
Monday, October 26, 2009. I forgot I had a blag! I just remembered I had a blog! And even if there's going to be a giant gap in the continuity of this blog, I am not going to summarize the events of July through most of October here. So on to current things! At first the beta fish just puffed up at his new "friends" and chased them around the tank. Now he is getting used to them somewhat. And I've managed to clear the top of my dresser for painting stuff! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). I forgot I had a blag!

Bits and Pieces of Shiny Things: Snow!
http://oddendsandbits.blogspot.com/2011/11/snow.html
Saturday, November 12, 2011. We cleaned up the gardens this morning and now I'm so glad we did because it's snowing! No more riding my bike to school which makes me sad. Besides the many green tomatoes we pick a couple of weeks ago, below is the rest of the "harvest" from the gardens. We also had some tiny desiccated corn which are too embarrassing to show. The beets and carrots are kind of cute. Not quite sure what went wrong. Exhibit A: Carrot and beets. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Bits and Pieces of Shiny Things: Fun in Bellingham
http://oddendsandbits.blogspot.com/2011/08/fun-in-bellingham.html
Thursday, August 11, 2011. As always, I'm behind on my blogging. So I'm going to attempt to catch up on all the things I wanted to post within the next few days. A couple of weeks ago, I convinced Chris to visit Bellingham for a weekend, using windsurfing at Lakewood. We went hiking at Whatcom Falls Park, kayaking and windsurfing at Lakewood and hiking on the Chuckanut trails. So much fun! At Whatcom Falls Park. Having fun in the creek. The water was nice and warm, not cold at all. Highlight of the day.

Bits and Pieces of Shiny Things: Lithops weirdness
http://oddendsandbits.blogspot.com/2011/02/lithops-weirdness.html
Thursday, February 10, 2011. When I checked on my poor neglected plants yesterday morning, this is what I saw:. These are little Lithops. Plants I bought I can't remember how long ago. Delightfully gross. I love them! Babies are coming out of my weird plant! They are very alien looking but I like them very much. As with all succulents, they will not die if I forget to water them for a week or two (or three) and the flowers are supposed to be spectacular. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Bits and Pieces of Shiny Things: July 2009
http://oddendsandbits.blogspot.com/2009_07_01_archive.html
Tuesday, July 7, 2009. Carving stamps is addicting! Makes me want to carve rubber stamps. So I have been slowly gathering the needed mater. Ials and a few days ago I finally sat down and reviewed. Geninne's tutorial on hand carved stamps. Drew some flowers and pots (similar in design to some of Geninne's stamps) and started carving. I didn't know it would be so addicting! Finishing one stamp just makes me want to carve another. It's quick, fun, and instantly rewarding. Labels: Hand carved stamps.

Bits and Pieces of Shiny Things: March 2010
http://oddendsandbits.blogspot.com/2010_03_01_archive.html
Thursday, March 25, 2010. Exploring the Oregon Coast. During the APS March Meeting in Portland, OR last week, we took a day off from all the talks for an adventure along the coast. The weather was beautiful. We visited Tillamook, some beaches, and the Oregon Dunes. Figure 3 - Tillamook cheese! Figure 4 - Look at the GIANT blocks of cheese! Now I know where my cheese came from. Figure 5 - One of the many viewpoints along the coast. Figure 6 - The ocean! Figure 8 - I had sand between my toes! The next day ...

Bits and Pieces of Shiny Things: June 2009
http://oddendsandbits.blogspot.com/2009_06_01_archive.html
Monday, June 22, 2009. There were tribbles in the bag.but Johnny already guessed. I can't surprise him! I made them out of some fake fur collars my mom gave me a while ago. I'm glad I made tribbles. I would not have known what to do with the collars otherwise. I'm back in Bellingham after 6 hours of driving yesterday. Aaron and I enjoyed a nice Father's Day sunset. Saturday, June 20, 2009. What's in the bag? What could be in the bag? I hid the contents in Johnny's apartment.hee hee hee! We haven't tasted...
