It is sad how nowadays all movie studios care about is money but at the same time it is understandable. When you make a movie you want money. The essay doesn't call anyone gay. It points to homoerotic images and signifiers, which are not only obviously present in the film but are generally acknowledged to exist in superhero narratives in general. At first I was skeptical, because American TV in general sucks. After watching the first few episodes, I wasn't that impressed.
