the leafy green: Hey Fatty Meal!

http://theleafygreen.blogspot.com/2012/06/hey-fatty-meal.html

Tuesday, June 5, 2012. Let me preface by saying a dear and beautiful friend of mine recently got engaged and I am beyond excited to stand up with her on her wedding day as she marries the man of her dreams.but after hearing the names of the bridesmaids. Mama has to get serious about slimming it down! So, say hello to my last "fatty meal"! Burger King is one of the few fast food restaurants that we can drop by when time constraints. Alright, in all honestly, this probably isn't my. A Pinch of Lovely.

the leafy green: Finger Food Friday!

http://theleafygreen.blogspot.com/2012/06/finger-food-friday.html

Friday, June 1, 2012. One of my favorite things about being a mommy to a toddler. Wowwhere did the time go! Is watching Lily discover new foods. My biggest fear is that we are going to have a picky eater. So, to push her to being a. Like her parents, we are having fun introducing new colors, textures and tastes. Her reactions are the BEST. The only heart breaking experience we have had so far.she hates avocados! No matter how we dice it or spruce it up. So, finger foods it is! Which I'm all about! It was...

Wednesday, June 6, 2012. Gazpacho with Goat Cheese. This might shock you, but until recently, I had never had gazpacho! I was perusing the Internet the other day and came across this gazpacho recipe from Real Simple. And it was just that. So I tried it.and. It was a refreshing treat and would be perfect for maybe a cocktail party or summer fun day.but not for a random night dinner. You live your learn, I guess. Another thing that threw me off was the real onion taste. I mean, it just hits you. Ladle the ...

Wednesday, May 25, 2011. Well, our little girl's room is basically finished so I wanted to share some photos! We still have a few things to add and tweak, but you get the general idea! Sunday, May 22, 2011. Well, I can finally say. SHE'S HERE! Lillian Mae Henry arrived at 10:46pm on May 11, 2011. We have loved parenthood so far. Even with the lack of sleep! Before we got too distracted with just how amazing she is, I wanted to write about her journey here. So here we go. Like the book said they would be".

The BR Beer Scene: Slovakia - Golden Pheasant & Czech Pilsners

http://www.brbeerscene.com/2010/06/slovakia-golden-pheasant-czech-pilsners.html

Sunday, June 20, 2010. Slovakia - Golden Pheasant and Czech Pilsners. The beer scene in Slovakia is a step up from the worst countries I've encountered so far, but still appears to be a good bit below the best countries. Fortunately I can say that I have had a beer from Slovakia, as Golden Pheasant used to be a staple of the Chimes. Back to the 2010 FIFA World Cup Beer Tour main page. The BR Beer Scene: Stone Ruination IPA

http://www.brbeerscene.com/2010/05/stone-ruination-ipa.html

Friday, May 7, 2010. Here's one that you can find in the BR stores with better beer selections. the Stone Ruination IPA. This is out of California and Stone Brewing Co. Dustin Davis brought this particular one over to taste. it pours a clear deep gold color. Great head with good retention and lacing. Attractive but not exceptional. There is a ridiculous smell to it, Dustin says "it's like shoving a hop cone up your nose," and I agree. Just what an IPA should smell like. My prior Stone reviews:. So I gues...

If you already have your tickets ( they can be purchased here. Then you have made a great decision. If you're still unsure, I'm here to tell you that you don't want to miss this. The BR Beer Scene: Feature Beer Friday! - Brash Cold Ass Honky

http://www.brbeerscene.com/2013/09/feature-beer-friday-brash-cold-ass-honky.html

Friday, September 20, 2013. Brash Cold Ass Honky. Surprisingly, this is only the second offering from Brash Beers. That I've had on Feature Beer Friday! And the first was a collaboration with Clown Shoes. This week Brash gets this space all to themselves with some Cold Ass Honky. I'm a little surprised that they received label approval with that name. but I guess this isn't Texas. They seem to be a lot more strict on the other side of the Sabine. The BR Beer Scene: December 2014

http://www.brbeerscene.com/2014_12_01_archive.html

Tuesday, December 16, 2014. Review: Abita Wrought Iron IPA. Alright, time for a beer review, just me this time, so this isn't our Feature Beer, but Abita Brewing. Although I wasn't as impressed with the Imperator Black IPA. I thought it needed more hops, but I did think that the Spring IPA and Grapefruit Harvest IPA were steps in the right direction, so. Hopefully I feel the same about the Wrought Iron IPA. The first sip isn't quite as pleasant, the hops are all there, but the bitterness is a little hars...

Friday, November 21, 2014. Goose Island 2013 Bourbon County Stout. I've been saving this review until just now, because as a lot of you know may know, next Friday will be the release of the Goose Island 2014 Bourbon County Stout. I still have a few mixed feeling regarding Goose Island. Eric Ducote (BR Beer Scene), Brenton Day ( The Ale Runner. Chuck Pierce ( Me And My Big Mouth. The BR Beer Scene: Feature Beer Friday! - Saint Arnold Amber Dry-Hopped

http://www.brbeerscene.com/2014/10/feature-beer-friday-saint-arnold-amber.html

Friday, October 31, 2014. Saint Arnold Amber Dry-Hopped. Time for our first ever Feature Beer Friday! Trip to the Saint Arnold Brewery. In Houston, TX. I'm sure almost all of you have heard of Saint Arnold and probably tried several of their offerings, but this is one I hadn't seen before. I've had their regular amber ale before, it was their first ever beer and has been around for about 20 years now, but I'd never seen a bomber of the dry-hopped version. Brenton Day ( The Ale Runner. The BR Beer Scene: Review: 2011 Abita Strawberry

http://www.brbeerscene.com/2011/01/review-2011-abita-strawberry.html

Friday, January 21, 2011. Review: 2011 Abita Strawberry. It's that time of year in South Louisiana. okay, it's actually a good bit early this year. but still, the Abita Strawberry is out, and flying off the shelves. Needless to say, the majority of people down here love this stuff. The release each. What the result is, in my opinion, is the perfect beer compliment to a batch of spicy crawfish. So, give one a try, the new batch is great, and enjoy! Posted by Eric Ducote. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Friday, November 28, 2014. Goose Island 2013 Bourbon County Coffee Stout. Last week featured the regular Bourbon County Stout in anticipation of today's release of the Goose Island 2014 Bourbon County Stout, so today I'm going to take it up a notch. This is the same basic beer, but with coffee added. With the popularity of the original stout Goose Island. Eric Ducote (BR Beer Scene), Brenton Day ( The Ale Runner.
