The Geekly Reader

A place to talk about books and technology, two of my favorite things. Sunday, August 31, 2014. A Little R and R. I decided to take a little R and R before things get crazy with back to school. I wanted to spend some time with my family for these final weeks of summer, so I decided a break from writing was in order. A trip to Kalahari and fun times with friends and family made August fly by. So, what does school year 2014 bring for me? Quite a bit, as always:. My extras: putting on an outdoor movie at Ma...

The Geekly Reader: June 2014

http://www.thegeeklyreader.com/2014_06_01_archive.html

A place to talk about books and technology, two of my favorite things. Tuesday, June 24, 2014. June 2014 Read of the Month Review. I easily completed my June 2014 Read of the Month; In Cold Blood by Truman Capote. I can easily see why the work is considered a classic. In Cold Blood. Is not the normal "true crime" book. Capote would often refer to it as the "non fiction novel.". Six years and eight thousand pages of notes later led to Capote's famous book. The trial and conviction of Hickock and Smith.

The Geekly Reader: July 2014 Read of the Month Review

http://www.thegeeklyreader.com/2014/07/july-2014-read-of-month-review.html

A place to talk about books and technology, two of my favorite things. Thursday, July 31, 2014. July 2014 Read of the Month Review. A place to talk about books and technology, two of my favorite things. Saturday, July 26, 2014. Movie Making via Smartphone. So Much Easier. So, what actually happened? This Has to Be Easier.Right? The other day I decided to give Splice. On my iPhone 5 a try for making a movie. I bought the $1.99 app a while ago for my daughter. She wanted it to make movies on her iTouch. All I can say is "wow! An ongoing discussion about books, writing, and technology. Sunday, January 08, 2017. Saved, By George! When I was very young and very stupid (those two often go together), I was almost bitten on the ass by a rattlesnake. Now, at the time, the standard first aid advice for snakebite was to have someone suck out the venom. In this particular case, that would have been a great way to find out who your friends really. This is a horned rattlesnake, such as one might find in the California or. A species of pi...
